That's a cool shot ^^^.

I took this one earlier of the creature. And just wondering, is there a way to speed up the time it takes to focus on my subject when using a teleconverter lens? I try using it with my standard 18mm-55mm and auto focus takes forrrrrrrevvvver! What's the reasoning for this?

I've never used a teleconverter but my understanding is you lose a bit of light getting to the sensor. Possibly making it harder to lock on with auto focus.

That does make a little more sense. Sucks that you have to sacrifice so much when interchanging lenses etc.

The teleconverter works on the 18-55? That's surprising it would fit. But ya that would kill autofocus speed on any lens that isn't a fast lens

teleconverters are normally used on telephoto lenses, didnt think they would work on wide lenses like the 18-55

it will work fine with any lens whether its a kit 18-55, long telephoto zoom or even a prime. probably not the best idea on a slow kit lens. id ditch the converter and pick up a mid rang zoom like a 55-200

Now that I can go for. :thumbup It's a shame I won't have the money for something like anytime soon though. :(

used the mamiya for a few shots during photoshoot today. really fun to use! 90mm lens is realllly wide for headshots, need to pick up the 180mm now... ;P

I have a number of times. really enjoy nighttime photography. my cheapo aftermarket remote timer doesnt seem to be working anymore though...

has anyone done some bulb photography? i wanna try to get some daytime photos at night...like these

I usually cheat and just set the shutter to its longest time, and then adjust iso and aperature until I get a decent pic.
And sometimes, a very calm model helps. :thumbup

I love night photography! The low light/night photography advantages were the main reason I got the Nikon over the Canon.

Although the links you gave are more like these...
