Digital SLR / DSLR Camera Question / DSLR Thread 2

I've told myself I'll buy a 70-200mm f2.8 HSM knockoff Sigma when I become employed again. That was a going to be a real treat; now you've gone and ruined it. :twofinger

Seriously though, very cool.

Heh, thanks. If you're interested, I'm still selling my Sigma 150/2.8. It's not in the same league as the 200, but it'll get you a good long-ish fast lens for a lot less money than you feared. ;)

Nice. If I was employed and still living in the bay, I might give it a shot. For now, I must wait... and wait... and pretend my kit lens and a nifty-fifty is all anyone in the world needs. :p

The specs on the 7D look good! I might have to pick one up for when I need that little reach from the crop bodies.

If anyone is interested I might be selling my 5D with grip. I don't use it as much since I picked up the 5D2.

OK, who has recommendations for moto photo shoots around SF? I'm going to take some pictures of the Husky and some friends' bikes and always like suggestions.

there are the staples, lombard street, down at that fort near water at golden gate, up in the headlands looking towards the city, or just go around wherever till you find something cool

Yeah, Ft. Point, Lombard, Chrissy Field, Twin Peaks, and the cable car turn-around are all on the list. Across the bridge is off-limits as one of the bikes is a scooter and I don't think it's highway legal. I think we'll stay within SF.

I used to know a stripper who worked there.

Irony is, she was a snooty old cow. Um, hello? You're a stripper...

Don't really see the attraction of strip clubs - hot chicks that you can't take home and play with? Well, not very often anyways :later

Under the Golden Gate on either side there are a plethora of photo opportunities - at least on the SF side you have views of the city and can walk into the Presidio too. Then there's always Baker Beach :buttsex
