Looks like dry weather all week!
I'll be at JMP today doing a couple of Cinderella loops.

A few of us were out at JMP today and there were several singletrack trails that someone had placed large tree limbs and/or rocks across the trails to create blocks. Cinderella had the most obstacles but other trails did as well. We rode a significant amount of the singletrack there today and cleared the naturally and 'unnaturally' caused blocks. You may want to ride a bit more conservatively until all these are cleared.
There was a lot of debris from the last storm and we cleared some bad sections of that. Park Service removed the downed tree on the trail to Two Dollar Hill but there are still a few more trees down. Be safe!
Let us know how the trails are
Just wondering - have you considered swapping your frame out for a Rush frame? As much as I love the Jekyll, it's never going to climb like an XC trail bike. The Rush seems much more well rounded, and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
I haven't thought about swapping out with a Rush...Hmmmmmm.....Are you thinking about it?
Not the Jekyll, but I'd consider replacing the Stumpjumper with a Rush someday for Xterra and XC races. As much as I like my Jekyll, I don't know that any number of mods will make it climb and pedal like an XC Trail bike.
The Push'ed rear shock gives it some pedaling efficiency, but with the geometry and ergonomics as they are, that front end is still going to wander on steeper, more technical climbs - even with the most aggressive XC setting.
If I ever let the Jekyll go, I'd probably replace it with a Prophet. I have this vision of building the ultimate Lefty-equipped Downieville machine - if the Jekyll isn't it, it works pretty darned well for the time being
Pete just picked up a Prophet

The Jekyll isn't really considered an XC bike, more like all-mountain...so, I figured the Jekyll would be the FUN bike
I've also been toying around with the idea of getting a hardtail for my XC race bike. We'll see what happens..
Are you talking about the Vanilla R coil?
I wanna do Downieville this year.
