Downieville XC pre-ride on Saturday the 14th

We're thinking pre-riding the XC course that morning, and a possible DH shuttle early that afternoon.

Anyone else interested?

^We don't have any races that weekend, so as of now :thumbup

I think that's the only weekend in June I have available, so I'd like to give it a go.

Are you riding on Saturday? I have a lot to do that day, but I'm tempted to time trial Tamarancho early...

i think that weekend is the MTBR nor cal summer kickoff up there. FYI. schedule shuttles early.

i may also be in, as my ride to Oregon for the Super D has a wedding reception that weekend.

I'd join you guys if I didn't have so much on my plate this Saturday. I've been wanting to check out Skyline for a while!

Hey Rick, I know it's an awkward rule in some cases, but we've been moving event threads in Non Moto to Social Gatherings. I kinda have to follow the precedent - would you rather I merged this with the MTB thread or move it to Social Gatherings?

Some other friends and I were already planning to be up there that weekend. We'll only be shuttling tho... maybe we can hook up for the afternoon shuttle.

BTW, MTBR's kick off is the following weekend.

If you guys see a guy in shorts, camel back and yamaha hat say hi. I'm usually out at rockville running/hiking 4-5 days a week.:thumbup

I need to try riding a mountain bike. It looks like alot of fun. Just can't afford another hobby right now.

We're looking at doing 20 or so miles at Annadel Monday on Memorial Day.

Meet in the Channel Drive parking lot @ 10 AM. Once again, I'm looking forward to dropping the best descents in the park. I'd like to add a couple of bonus loops to what we did last time.

I'm thinking Mike's Burgers on the trip back would hit the spot as well.

Who's in?

I'm a big maybe... but what are the details? Directions? I've never been up there before, but have been wanting to check it out. It's a pretty long drive, but sounds like it might be worth it.

With plenty of long and flowy singletrack descents and the occasional rock garden thrown in for good measure, it's one of my favorite parks anywhere. Definitely worth it for me coming from Berkeley.

I did a Google map plot from San Rafael - tell me if this works for ya:

Man, that really is far... I'm coming from Union City; 86 miles, 1h 41min according to Google Maps. I'll confirm one way or the other Sunday night.

U gonna be at Infineon all weekend? I gonna try to make it up there Sunday.

If I'm not running around interviewing riders, I'm up in the announcers booth. Hope to see you around up there!
