I'll be heading to skeggs at least once a week - got some new loops to explore :)

hey ryan, you doing dville XC?

the 08's tt is wayyyy short.

the 09's is perfect and it much easier to ride

might have worked out a bug with the 09 though. allll in the special shim stacks

ever since i found out about skeggs i have been permanently stoked. that place is AWESOME. There are a ton of great trails so you don't always have to ride the same one or two. its technical singletrack mostly, some bomber fire roads and lots of sweet scenery. Everything is very well maintained and it seems like the trees catch a lot of the fog and keep the soil somewhat damp and tacky.

If any of you guys are up to make the trip let me know. i would be happy to show anyone around.

Are you guys planning to do any pre-runs of the course? i would definitely be up for that.

Yes, as soon as the trails are clear of snow (end of May?), I plan on pre-riding the course at least twice before the race in July.

So my Talas fork is going to be serviced and they gave me a choice. Reason is that it is stuck at the 120mm travel setting and won't go down or up to full travel.

1) Go with a Fox Factory rebuild of the internals for around $215

2) Let the bike shop order the updated internals for the newer Talas and pop those in. Resulting in the likelihood of future adjustiblity problems occuring again. $325

What do you think?

You mean PUSH?

They do excellent work:cool

Ummm...no, I didn't send it to PUSH, although I know they do great work.

So...what is your answer to my original question? Thanks.

Let Fox do the upgrade to the 09 internals.

Damn, I just decided to go with the talas 2 rebuild since the upgrade to talas 3 was almost double the cost. I guess now I can put that saved money into an RP23 to sort out the back of the bike...or just more trackday money. :thumbup
