Would any of you leave a bike rack hooked up to your car hitch or just put it on as I need to use it?![]()

My hitch rack on my ex-gf's car got bent when another car tried to park behind hers in SF. Your call.
I need to get my Stumpjumper a tune-up for the first time. Any recommendations in the North Bay, more specific Santa Rosa area? I was thinking about just taking it to CBO. REI said it was a week turn around time?! Everyplace the same for something as simple as this or should I take it to a LBS?
tune it up yourself...not hard...mostly cleaning the drivetrain, readjusting suspension (if needed) and slight tweaks with shifter cables.....should take you all of 1.5 hours...and that includes 2 beers consumed in the process.
If you need to true your wheels that'll take an extra 15 minutes....and you don't need a stand (but you do need a spoke wrench)
Here's a good site for tips:

Annadel was worth the drive!
Too bad my ride ended short with the seat flying off while I was climbing:|
