man im loving this game...

im onto the second big island, and about 24% done with the game i think...

sniper rifle FTW.... 30 kills by headshot... fun times

regretfully you cannot fire a rocket launcher from the back of a helicopter, even though there's really no reason why you shouldn't be able to.

you also leave huge cracks in the walls of buildings if you hit them hard enough.

yeah, it's a nice touch but really it's just the same as bullet holes in walls... an image of a crack is pasted over the wall texture. the vehicle damage is ground-breaking though, i've never seen something like that in any game before.

and if you damage the engine too much by crashing, the car will die (not blow up, just wont work).

Yeah, they do ... and nicely! RPG FTW! It's just that they can also stall from damage.

if you crash a car enough to make it not start just dial 911 and then get back into the car and it will start again, not a cheat code just a glitch in the game

yes they do! they just don't automatically blow up just because they've flipped upside down (that was kind of stupid anyway). now there are many ways a car can be ruined:

1) car catches fire, impending explosion.

2) engine dies, won't start again (without 911 glitch).

3) car gets crushed to the point that it is no longer functional (specifically bent wheels). maybe you can drive slowly but you won't be able to control the steering anymore and it's pretty much worthless. look at the pic i posted on the last page, that is a good example... see where the left front wheel is? it shouldn't be there!!! nearly impossible to drive.

4) tires blow out- you can still drive on the bare wheels (sparks flying looks pretty cool!) but handling and traction will be terrible. tires can blow out from damage, excessive burnouts/drifting, driving over fire (they will catch and burn till they blow!), or of course good old fashioned bullets.

5) flipped upside down (but unlike previous GTAs it will stay there upside down, and if it gets flipped back over you can drive it again)

etc.


cars are more dangerous than ever, because when they catch fire you never know how long it will be before they explode! i've had cars explode after being on fire for anywhere from 5 seconds to nearly a minute. but rest assured, they WILL explode. and yes, chain reactions of cars blowing each other up is still possible. cops/peds nearby will be thrown through the air and sometimes catch fire.

The cars fall apart fast!! Let the cops hit you enough with their patrol cars.

Every time I go drinking with Roman I end up with at least a 3 star wanted rating. Sucks trying to outrun the cops while drunk. Got shot up by the cops last time after they rammed my car enough it wouldn't start. I got out and started running but the dumbshit Roman stayed behind. Got shot while running back to him. Funny thing is the thumbs up I get from him for the whole event.

While we are on the topic of hanging out with friends...I sent Little Jacob to the hospital because I picked him up on a bike and then proceeded to wheelie it down a street that had a hill. We wrecked bad. The bike landed on top of him and so did I. I just slid the rest of the way and limped away. Got a thumbs down there.

Oh and my first date with Michelle was on a bike. I hit a car at a low speed head on and she flew onto the grill, got up and took off her helmet, slammed it on the street, cursed me out and left. LOL

yeah, i wrecked with michelle also... she umm, hit a building lol... car came out of nowhere man, i def had a green light. we tbone the car. i hit another car but she went right into a wall... LOL...

I thought I was 40% done but after checking today I'm only 27% in...this game is long! hahaha, quite a difference after finishing God of War on my PSP in 6 hours! Missions are coming fast and crazy...I'm doing one mission and I get two calls for other missions not to mention people just wanna hang out. Fucking Niko is a busy guy...dude needs a vacation!

hm it wasn't what i expected when i got it. the game physics overall are NOTHING compared to the previous GTA games. imo, i think its better this way because as others pointed out: its more realistic.

in the old games i remember you can throw a million punches without the guy losing breath. but in this one, you actually need to time the punches. i still have a lot to learn but im liking it so far.

i'll give it a 9/10.

if anyone is trying on the 360 to get the wheelie achivement go to the airport and do it on the runway, when you get to the end you will fly off a little jump and do a flip. the second you hit the runway you also get a 4 star rating and by doing the flip off the end of the runway the rating goes away, giving you another achievement as well

this game is a bit too realistic

You know they react differently based on the clothes and car you show up in? You have to listen to their idle chatter while driving to your date location...they give little hints. Michelle apparently liked when I showed up with glasses and the crazy russian hat in a decent car. When I opened up the next clothes shop I bought some nicer digs and the next date I went on with her she complained how she liked the other outfit so much better.

So if Kate's not letting you hit it, you better switch up your gear and ride!
