Honda CB1 a good beginner bike?

Ex500 or this 400, you can't loose. Really it's a coin toss and will probably be happy either way. How tall are you? I remember sitting on those in the dealerships when they were new and thinking the peg to seat ratio was a little tight on the 400's. I eneded up getting an EX500 but if the bike fits you I'd have no concerns about buying the Honda.

motoproponent told him that he rubbed his junk on that cb1

just an fyi there

If you dont buy it soon, I'm gonna find the guy and buy it myself.

I miss my CB-1 , it was a damn fun bike and I was going to buy it back from the guy i sold it to but didnt have the cash.

The day I came up with the money a few weeks ago... he sold it :|

It handles well, feels light, compact, its just fun. Period.

he's gotta be a troll. he's probly lauging his ass off every time he hits the refresh button. Feanor returns with a new m.o.

Buy the fucking cb-1 or don't. You're starting to dissuage people from helping you.

Sorry, but I totally refudiate the use of the term "dissuage".

A very good bike as long as you are physically big enough to handle it (flat foot at stop lights) and you have enough common sense combined with a sense of your own mortality.

OMG

:rofl :rofl :laughing

The taxpayers will not be happy replacing the keyboard I just sprayed coffee all over. I'm sure IT is looking at making BARF the newest addition to the list of sites not accessible from gub'ment workstations because of my outburst in the office.

you suck :thumbdown

But he posts like a white guy. Could be a trap though, using some sort of honky generator software program.

Also, spend some money on books - David L. Hough's "Proficient Motorcycling" to start.
+1 !!
I sleep with a copy of Proficient Motorcycling under my pillow at night. (In case someone breaks in and has riding technique questions.)
I also highly recommend Total Control: High Performance Street Riding Techniques.

Both books not only serve as great technique guides, but will also answer a lot of "newbie" rider questions about motorcycles in general.

IMHO, they should give these books out at the DMV when you pick up your M1 license.

thanks a lot guys. i'm still figuring out how the BARF community works. i really appreciate the help and off collar humor :p sorry i'm an overly cautious, picky, "wanna do it right" kinda guy. that's just my nature. thanks!!!

Don't be like this when you ride, because you'll only end up dead. :|

You better learn to be aggressive, decisive, and sure of what you can and CANNOT do before you go wheels up to ride.............
