How's Ukiah doing? I heard it's a little ugly these days with the economy, but still hangin' in there....

FYI, I have no interest in the bike, but I don't want to pay registration fees... Is there anything I can do? I don't have full coverage, cuz the bike was cheap. If i call insurance, are they going to just take it away or will I need to pay fees or whatever.

If I do somehow pick it up, ow do I "unregister" the bike so I don't need to pay registration fees?

If you don't want it, consider calling a local bike shop and asking them if they want to buy it for super cheap just for parts. Probably won't work, but if it does, at least you wont have to haul it back.

Thanks everyone :D!

Went to see the doctor, and yes, she was hawt!!

She said I'm fine, have a very minor concussion, but i should be fine (currently have a headache). I had a wound near my happy place, and she cleaned it really well :p

Epic day was epic. Now...what to do about bike hehe

Nate, please check with Peter/Cincinnatis... based on his last post, he's planning on driving down there today to get you and the bike, and get the both of you home. A come-along and some rope is all that's necessary to get a bike up a hill, in most cases.
As far as the bike registration goes, on your registration, there's a box to check to "non-op" the bike. You pay a small fee, and that basically "un-registers" the bike.
I'd have someone take a look at the bike, see what the damage is, and then you can determine if you want to sell it, or fix it and turn it into a track bike.
I'm glad you're OK, and I'm sorry your weekend ended so unhappily... :(

Call Chuck Testa.

He's in Ojai.

OMG... :rofl Funniest vid EVAR... :rofl

Damn, thread is funny as hell, considering the circumstances!

Glad you are above ground op!

I'm in Santa Maria. If you haven't figured it out yet, call me. You need to buy gas, and maybe lunch. I can boogie down there tonight, load up, and you can camp here tonight, Tomorrow morning, I'm driving to Salinas. Nearly Richmond, anyway.

I can meet you in Salinas and take him the rest of the way.

Very glad that you are mostly OK, Nate. :) Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

For people that don't know Nate, he is a very generous and helpful guy. He got up ridiculously early last Saturday to drive me from San Mateo to Tracy to pick up my new bike. :thumbup

And, folks, Nate was in a serious accident last night, sustained a concussion, didn't get much sleep, and his wrecked bike is lying on a hillside hundreds of miles from home. Most people can't operate a toaster under similar conditions. So, I'd really appreciate it if people would show a little class and lay off the dick comments. We'll try to show you the same consideration when you have one of the shittiest nights of your life. :nchantr

I'm okay Brian, thank you! :D

Does this beat your deer encounters? :rofl

I'm really okay though, and I'm in a very good mood :p

glad you are alive and got checked out by a doctor (looking out for your wellbeing more than your bike)! too many ppl are concerned about their "stuff" and not their health... the worst misplacement of priorities ever.

:) Awesome. Glad that you are doing well.

My deer crash was a love tap compared to this. :party
