Is holding hands in public important part of a relationship..?

I like holding hands with pretty ladies. I don't even have to be dating them!

I was always uncomfortable with any display of affection in public in the past. Not sure why though. I enjoy seeing others showing their love but it was not for me.

Now-It is like second nature to hold hands. I have slowly become used to it and it makes me giggle a little bit.

Who holds hands past like 15?

:rofl

Dude, you troll so hard. There's like 45 posts before yours, the vast majority advocating holding hands.

It's weird how humans have a need for socialization and contact.

:rofl

Actually , in his case (k*'s) I am not sure it's trolling but maybe it's an actual thought amid a delirium of a barrage of posts... :)

It's not weird, it's hard-wired into our monkey DNA. In fact I pick lice off my girl's head all the time. :laughing

:wtf Wow... I like it when other chicks are scoping the guy I'm with... cuz he's going home with ME, bitches! :twofinger
But that whole baby talk/feed the guy thing?? Screw that... maybe if I'm wearing a harem girl costume, and feeding him grapes... in the bedroom or something... but with real food, like at the table or a restaurant?? I don't want to be my boyfriend's MOMMY.
You ex has some serious issues... :thumbdown

For all that advocate PDA's and holding hands I'm all for it when the situation calls for it. BUT in my situation it was a multitude of insecure, controlling, and erratic behavior that doomed our relationship.

And GG1K I totally agree with the boyfriend/mommy thing. The woman I was involved with had a history of taking in straight up dead beats and basically raising/mentoring/life coaching these guys. She was as my grandad put it a "Momma cat".

She was totally used to having guys in her life that absolutely depended on her and she should completely control. She also has major daddy issues from her dad never being around and him pumping out almost 11 illegitimate children.

I'm not that type of guy and it was hard for her to adjust to dealing with someone who had individual thought and could make up their own mind without consulting her. We would be at a restaurant and I would let her order and the waiter would turn to me and she would blurt out...HE'LL HAVE BLAH BLAH BLAH. Without even consulting me.

I would calmly turn to the waiter and say "Uh no I don't want that". And she would have an ATTITUDE the rest of the night. Then it would devolve into some bullshit argument where I would be called foul names, then be accused of F'ing her friends, and all manor of madness.

I remember her organizing a party that I had NO CLUE about and then during the party she would ANNOUNCE you owe me this much money for this party I was so stressed at times I was sure it was affecting my state of mind. But I digress...

Unfortunately you only find out about shit like this the longer you are in a relationship. Now about this Harem costume... :laughing

I was kinda riffing off of kev's propensity to regard normal human behavior as 'weird'. :laughing
