My friend Wob who did this just let me know he is terminal.

Fricking heart is sagging. Can’t go see him in the hospital. Hoping he breaks free so I can see him.

Haven't logged on in FOREVER. Man. Budman rides a 2 stroke. About friggin' time!!

the sound, the smell, the VIBRATION. I couldn't take my hands off the 500's bars (know what i mean? heheh)..Only rode one once, but....yeah....a handful :)

I wonder if many here know what kenny was saying when he said his ride @ laguna seca was "rich", but safe? :)~*

When I quit riding my RD400F up heeyah around Mt. Saint Helens 2005~2015? (mostly to Cougar / FS90 / McClellan Viewpoint / Old Man Pass, a friend of mine called it the "end of an era". Sad, but many over 20 years of rebuilds...I think i put in at least 2 lifetimes in that daytona (88,000 miles to be exact).

One year had a port job by RB Designs (Portland, OR semi-retired now...small jobs KDX200/220 mods), silicone o-ring heads, tight squish and compression low enough for 92 octane and redline full race synthetic at 25:1 <----kick ass mix man!.. SMOKIN'.

It it ain't smokin', it ain't broken. Although I quit smokin'......smokem if you got em.

triples got nasty w/ electronic ignitions...

Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm guessing he's rode a couple of two strokes. If so, better to go out having ridden one than not.

I lived on two smokes until my early mid 20’s.

RD, RM, CZ and even raced a Gamma.

Love the smell ... the sound.

The soul of moto’s have 2 strokes.

Have to agree. Most of my bikes are 2-strokes. Recently I picked up a few diesels. Have to admit, you can’t beat getting on an angry lc350 or wobbly rg500. Love them.

Looking through the work in progress I was IMPRESSED!! :wow

A couple of show bikes in process and a 69 runner from across the country.
Incredibly clean bikes. He felt mine was in better shape that most he gets and the work discussed to make it a pretty runner vs. show level build.

Now the waiting begins. Whatever it take is whatever it will take. Looks like I am 4th in line and two of those are about done. A sweet blue 750 was about to get her brandspanking new motor put back in.

I did learn that I am old as F. :laughing
L8BRAKER came over to help and I will be damned... I got a cramp in my lower right rib pushing the bike up the ramp. Ouch. :afm199

We did get an excited thumbup from one dude on they way to Castro Valley from a mature moto fan in a truck.

Really looking forward to showing up to Alices one day later this year..! :ride

Was this the bike that created a steering damper market? Always liked the chrome fender look. There’s something about the engine noise of the smoking triples.
 
It was invented in 1966 so before the Mach 1 came out.

They could have been among the first models to come with one stock though :dunno

No, the steering damper was NOT invented for the Kawi triple. That would assume wrongly that the Kawi triple could TURN!
