L&L Hawaiian BBQ

this may be a chain but I find the quality to be very inconsistent. some are good and others are awful.

I really can't afford to eat katsu :-(

Yes an No.

Yes: bcoz comport
No: bcoz dayabeetees

Ju need dat comport pood, Mang. Inyect moar dat 'Beetus Joose.

Its good, but they're major calorie bombs. If you like Hawaiian style bbq, you should check out Filipino style.

I eat at Kusina Ni Tess weekly. I don't get the Q that much though. Dinuguan or Picadillo usually wins out, with a longsilog if it is still early, extra longinisa.

Hell yes

I do a musubi a week

My go to is all Mac curry katsu

LOL, those are my main reason for going.

We had an Office Potluck with like 12 people one time. I am nor a big potluck guy, I don't really trust random food from strangers, but one of the ladies in the Office shamed me into going to this one, which I believe had an, “Asian food,” theme. Which is kind of funny, because there was only one dude in the office who was Asian, and he is only half Korean/Scottish American guy.

Anyway, I got an order of 50 Spam Mususbi from L&L and brought it with a bottle of sriracha. All the black and white people went, “eww, you eat spam?” Me and the Korean dude went to town. I think I ate like 10 that day and brought like 20 of them home with me to kill over the weekend. :laughing

L&L is okay.

Much better options for Hawaiian food. But if it's close and convenient. sure

We have this place not far from us. So much better. Doesn't help you bay area folk but I'm sure you can find something better than L&L if you've got a Hawaiian craving bad.

I miss Jollibee

I was craving some pancit bihon and went to the one in Concord and they were selling fried chicken and burgers!?!! WTF :wtf:wtf Are they all like this now?

I used to go to the one in San Jose off Aborn years ago and they had all the good shit, different types of pancit, lumpia, etc.

Where are you?? There’s one in Union City, and one in Daly City (Pinoy town). There used to be one in SF that’s changed a few times from Jollibee to something else and now an Indian place which is pretty good too!

There are alternative Filipino restaurants all over the place that I could point you to as well!

I'm sorry, dinuguan is some vile stuff. :barf

LOL, All the Pinoy in the place get all excited when I order it. :laughing

Dude that’s a favorite or mine. I’d go to Kuya’s in San Bruno and get that. Or if you’re there, they do a “crispy pork adobo” for me. Basically, refried adobo. Soooooo good!!!
