Lake Berryessa Glory Hole

I like that the resource managers name is “Fowler”.

I was also surprised they called it the “Glory Hole” in the article.

Recent heavy rains have meant the hole has seen plenty of action - :rofl

I had an idea it would survive being a cormorant but wasn't certain. Anyone that lives around large lakes or ocean will probably agree those things are tanks and can hold their breath for what seems like forever.

They are not "Canadians". That's what you call people from Canada. The geese are Canada Geese.

They could be both.
Do they come off as bitter and argumentative in each and every thread they respond to?

Less bitter, more glory hole? Rules for life right here in the Sink!

If it didn't fly back out, there is no way that duck survived. The head pressure from that volume of water falling 200 ft and shoved into an outlet pipe would crush it. The turbulence also has a good chance of ripping it apart. Dat duck ded.

Dude is bullshitting. No way was he able to finish videoing and have enough time to make it to the dam overlook to see the bird fly out the end.
It’s a public relations feel good story spin.

I was just there a few days ago. I had the same thought.
There's no way he could've made it to the back of the dam to see anything.
I call bullshit too.

Got intel last night that they released water from the lake and the Glory hole is no longer flowing.

The county water agency says otherwise.

I dunno, the dude told me him and his wife drove up there and it wasn't spilling.

This link from Solano County Water Agency downloads an Excel spreadsheet showing lake level. Measurements are continuously updated every 15 min. As of 6:30 this morning lake level was 442.17 ft., 2.17' above glory hole rim height of 440 ft.

Thank you! Bought the drone in the classifieds here on BARF.

And yes, it's easy to spend too much time watching that video. I put it on Instagram and it just repeats endlessly. :party
