Looking of a .22lr rifle - Suggestions?

I'm not a big fan lever action in 22s because of the need to remove a spring loaded rod, then fill the tube, then add the rod back and lock it.

Upside is you can use .22 shorts, if you want pellet gun power.

Henry keeps that up in their larger bore rifles while Marlin lets you top off from the side when you need one.

Not sure if anyone makes a single load capable 22LR tho. I already have the wife's century old pump action if I wanna play cowboy or carnival :)

not new, but the Savage Anschutz Mark 10 is an excellent single shot target/match rifle ;)

I already owned and sold a single shot bolt action :)

haven't had a lever gun tho of any caliber. I just dislike tubes that cannot be topped off -leftover hatreds from my BB gun youth.

hope to get another magazine fed bolt 22 next. Gotta finish my 10/22 project and then I can sell my 22LR AR upper.

if it's the same one issued to national guard units in the late 60's, we had two with the Boy Scouts we got surplus. One had a scope!

I just sold old target BSA for $1000. :laughing

probably paid the poor b@stard who brought it in $100 and told him you were being generous because you had a soft spot for old rifles :)

That's probably it, similar weight/dimensions as the Springfield 1903 30-06

another fine rifle, but a different story :)
