He said he was joking though
I was joking for the sake of being inflammatory so yeah it was basically a dick move anyway

Good point. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "offensive." Behaving in a respectful manner IS part of the rules, but it is enforced in a way where the term "respectful" is defined as not EXPLICITLY insulting or threatening someone. Trolls are good at carefully wording their statements of hate, insult, and harassment while staying within TOS as they are enforced.
Just watch: asdfghwy will be the only one suspended. And if anyone else gets suspended, I bet it won't be MMarklin. You know, because he was being respectful when he sarcastically wished death on a population bigger than that of North and South Dakota.
TOS are basically just protecting trolls at this point, and the conversation I used to find so enlightening here is pretty much gone.
EDIT: If offending people isn't implicitly part of TOS, why the dickbutt censorship?
Going back to reading post 2, Mcmarklin only said something offensive if you assume he was being sarcastic. When he was queried about it and asked if he thought it isn't horrific, he said, "Of course not. It would be horrible. I said as much. Please re-read my post."
Is everybody getting spun up under a false assumption? Seems like a distinct possibility. I don't think what Mcmarklin said deserves suspension even if offending people was against TOS.

Way to (attempt to) spin it.
Intent is blatant in his post.

It may well have been a sarcastic comment. I'm not trying to spin anything. Just pointing out what was actually said, vs the way it was interpreted. Ever have somebody get upset over an email or text over something that was misinterpreted due to not being able to convey tone?
