NFL 2023

Had to work Sunday and tied to keep up with the game via ESPN webpage and god that has the worst interface and setup. Some parts of the page update automatically and some don't but it was nerve racking. Finally got off the work stuff and plopped my butt down in front of the TV and got to watch the second half. Man Greenlaw really should have kept a cooler head on that penalty but that play seemed to make the Niners kick it up a notch more than the Eagles.

I don't know what is was but I think Olsen was seriously downplaying the Niners win the whole time all he was saying was the Eagles lost the game not that the Niners won it on skill. I was a little peeved by that but its nice to have a quality win and hope they keep on going.

I wonder if Dallas is going to feel the wrath as the Eagles look to come back next week and win?

Seattle is sitting there thinking, oh shit...

I don't know, the Niners were primed for a revenge game and they took full advantage of it.

Not sure if that translates into a romperstomp of the Seachickens. Division fights like this tend have a bit more depth to them.

Greenlaw needs to take anger management classes. I find it kind of weird that the Eagles hired La Costa Nostra for their security :laughing

Anyone else here the lunatic banshee yelling "chickens suck" after every 49er extra point?

Wonder if he made it out of the stadium alive.:laughing

The 49ers seem to have a "gear" that every other team, other than maybe the Dolphins, lack.

Entertaining game for sure.

I meant that they had to watch their next 2 opponents and they are both wild animals. I wasn't left with the impression that Philly's defense is lacking aggression. And I don't think the next meeting of SF and Philly is going to look like the previous 2.

I wouldn't want to line up the top 2 NFC teams back to back. I'm hoping they find something and beat the Eagles. Then lose the rest of the season.

:laughing

When asked about the game on Thursday, Carter used the opportunity to disparage the Niners unit he’ll be competing against most directly.

“They got a lot of weapons out there on the outside but I’m on the inside, I’m in the trenches, I ain’t heard nothing about the o-line,” said Carter.

This stupid shit right here is why I hate flash players that talk to the Media. This stupid shit is the guaranteed promise of a clean QB.

I hope he keeps doing it, lol.

First pic should be a hobo sitting on a sidewalk.

I am still awaiting the long form chortle of glee by Eldritch regarding the Niners beatdown of that team in green.

For my part, it was the most satisfying win in many, many years stretching way back to the 20th century. It’s stupid to have such things matter, but I actually got a great night’s sleep on Sunday. Especially since my Dubs did everything but actually win their game on Saturday.

I honestly cannot figure out why I think that Jalen Hurts guy is a fraud but I just do. He was pretty tough, made good runs and stayed pretty calm in loss. He’s better than I am able to acknowledge except in these kinds of words.

Now the Niners’ task is to not get careless from arrogance and just keep winning. As pointed out on the teevee, the last time they beatdown a contender (Dallas), they lost three in a row. Don’t…..want….that.

I was more upset about the Dubs game

aaand, maybe we should stop calling professional athletes "frauds." In general. No one on this forum is anywhere near qualified to call a professional athlete a fraud when it comes to their ability to do their job. Hate on anyone you want, that's totally fair game but a "fraud?" :rolleyes
