NFL 2023

No promises. Not if they come out with that game plan. My God. I have been espousing that the team has been winning despite the coaching. This was a wild way to watch it happen. Emotional roller coaster....

Niners earned it. Good game.

Nice to see a fire lit heading to the Super Bowl.

my boys and grandson had a moment.

Nice win, but two weeks of comebacks wins against teams they were really supposed to dominate. If they get behind like that in KC, I don't think they will be able to pull it off. Niners need to start faster in 2 weeks to get 6.

The offense had a peculiarly hard time getting their run game going. We are used to seeing McCaffrey find holes, work their way up the field then at least get to the red zone. They had a really hard time doing that. They squirted him through in the second half on a play to the right but I wondered what Lions were doing so much better than most other teams.

Like you say, it has to go better than that. Based on what I have seen, Pacheco will embarrass the linebackers unless he gets tuckered out. They used him and Kelce mostly yesterday. Pacheco is not a big guy it’s hard to believe he can last.

NFL suits would like nothing more for Kelce to be celebrating mid field with Swift. Refs are all about to pounce anyone that comes within 10' of Mahomes.

Probably true but as far as the Super Bowl is concerned I really don't know who will win. Could be either team, that's what makes it fun and interesting. The next two weeks will generate a lot of hype. I'm rooting for the Niners but it could be either team. In Super Bowl XXIX the Niners totally dominated the Chargers as expected. This is no slam dunk like that one.

I'm already preparing to see all the no calls when Bosa and Young get literally tackled by the KC Oline.

Just like in 19.

So much these two things. If that Lions D lineman had drilled Mahomes in the head leading helmet first there would have been 20 flags on the field but for Purdy we get a no-call. KC gets away with murder because the NFL is taking them to the bank and they don't want that well to run dry so prepare for a ref fueled back-to-back championship for them.

I also love how Purdy gets all the blame for things that go wrong when they lose but damn they never give him any love when they win we get its all about the playmakers on the team. Maybe if they win the SB the media will give him a little love and stop bagging on him. I guess we can't have Mr. Irrelevant being as good as first pick in the draft can we?

Who is wearing red?? (home team).

Did you see the size of those Detroit linemen? And not just height but weight, those were some big boys!

Personally, I think that Detroit went into halftime thinking that they had it in the bag, felt confident and let their energy down. It's very hard to recover that kind of energy once you let it down.

9ers definitely caught some breaks in the 3rd quarter, but sometimes the breaks go your way. Then they let their guard down in the 4th quarter and almost let it get away.

Definitely an exciting game, you have to give Purdy credit, those runs he had were key to their ultimate outcome as was that catch by Aiyuk and the fumble force and recovery.

I would say Purdy should be in the running for MVP, maybe not winning. And he should be in the running for comeback player of the year.

Demar Hamlin basically died on the field.

I think that award was decided the second he appeared in a game this season.

Clearly wrong about the Ravens but I never thought SF could beat the unlike KC.

Should be a great game but I would hate to see Mahomes and Taylor Swift happy at the end.

All of that quiet confidence looked out of place, as the Lions roared in the first half. The announcers were trying to build drama, "The niners playbook has failed, what are they going to do"??
What would Coach Madden do? Send them out with instructions, "steal the ball, and score!! "
The pressure was on and the calm delivered the points, with style and flair. Not the drive/intensity from Montana, & 2 minute drill, but a win.
