NFL 2023

So now, the Raiders are up against either KC or the Niners winning the Superbowl on their field.

Yeesh, that must be like if I had to watch the Pats and Dallas slug it out in Joisey.

I assume They Mad.

Just remember, we will get a better Traylor song if Chiefs lose.

Re: Fortune. Bill Walsh used to regularly mention Fortune as a factor in victory. Niners definitely had that going yesterday in second half, especially the freak deflection pass. My gym Raiders fan guy was all about that this morning. Because it has to be luck to explain when the team he hates wins.

But I like the mention of calm. Purdy has shown it and its a great part of his ultimate success. And his big runs is what we need to spread out opposing defense. That it’s a possibility is a fantastic development. Of course I was praying to the Almighty he wouldn’t get scrunched during those runs.
I was amazed that he got up after that rusher nearly decapitated him on the fall. That was not Fortune, with no laundry displayed. I felt it made up for an earlier bad call that favored the Niners but was glad he survived. TBH, after that Eagles game last year, I am always tense about our little Brock.

Maybe the kid in black face ruined their mojo because the Raiders made Arrowhead really sad for Christmas dinner....

https://myfox8.com/sports/sports-il...e Las Vegas venue, the Chiefs' AFC West rivals.

I have to say, that is honestly an impressive amount of trolling. I have to say I am impressed he managed to do that without punching any large animals in the face or intentionally vomiting on any children.

I bet this excellent fan hasn't ever attacked Santa Claus even one time.

Well played, sir, well played.

Who is wearing red?? (home team).

AFC if the home team this year, as the NFC was the home team last year.
I don't think they have announced which uniforms the Chiefs will be wearing yet.

Somebody claims to have picked up the trash....

I hope it counts as part of his "Community Service"! ;) :laughing

Touche with Hamlin. I forgot that was last year. He should still be in the conversation.

Thanks Lonster.

My mini-gripe: Both on national teevee and even our local sports radio, they described Purdy’s runs as “scampering” across the field. Like a rat or something. Shit. How precious. He’s not a man, he’s a quaint little forest animal. Screw that noise.

Like the old saying of “never go to a second location” I was skeered to click that link above.

I think they're still stuck on his draft position, if he had been one spot down, he would have been a walk-on.

Writers often can get lazy, so they look up things instead of watching. Purdy isn't perfect, but he's gotten the job done and does what he needs to when he needs to. Those runs were exactly what the team needed at the time, and they did the job.

It is more than that. Tommy de Vito was an undrafted nobody for his 15 minutes of fame this year and the media went crazy for him.

Not really, outside of NYC, nobody gave two shits about DeVito other than to wonder if he was related to Danny and who the hell dressed his manager like a back up dancer in a local theater production of "Guys and Dolls"... seemed more 15 seconds because he just wasn't THAT good. :dunno

Personally, I think the bigger factor for the 9ers will be CMC.

Yeah not sure why the media be dogging Purdy but if they can win the SB I wonder what kind of moving metric they will use to determine that he isn't a good QB and is still just a game manager. I don't think the media will ever be on board with him even if he was able to win multiple SBs in his career.
