Photos of your bike on location

More "lost" pix Verizon finally processed, , ,

Previous pix from Ferndale end to cape Mendo,
now from the south end of Mattole Rd.
I rode 3/4 up the grade to Honeydew, olins worked great for as far as I went.
I didn't get into the potholes, just deteriorating asphalt overlays before I bailed.
Back in '16 I did the south end run to cape mendo, beat myself up from too stiff front end, & potholes, back/shoulders hurt like hell next day.

So much fun rolling thru this forest as seen from Star Wars "speeders" .

Sand Hollow Road, just before dropping into Johnson Creek Rd for a little bit more technical riding.

At the top of Squaw Butte. Nice clear day for a change.

Little Gem Cycle Park. We didn't try any hill climbs there - just passing through.

I'm not ready to present stark black & white pix yet.
I'm waiting until this wind event dissipates before I explore my darkened neighborhood.
I give you this forest fantasy,

My "welcome home" hit Friday, fire blows up Midway Rd. & I 80 then jumps over to south of 80. I'm staying three/four miles west @ Midway & I 505
Used to work here, take a big squint, hit way back, mid '70's.
Coachman class C RV factory. Now "The Brickyard" paving rock & brick.

South of 80, off Lewis Rd. Vacavalley Raceway has burned from same cigarette .
Those black berms are banked turns.

My cool pics on location didn't really work out as planned today.

Didn't work out for me either last Sat. Shortly after I got onto Bolinas Rd in Fairfax, my Ulysses's cooling fan crapped out (check engine light, fan wouldn't run, burning smell and white smoke from under the tank). Luckily, I was able to ride home - 155 miles of freeway/city ride with no pics.

Kincaid Rd today:

At the top of the pass on the way to Silver City. It was 41 degrees and windy here and looked like it would rain. Time to head down out of this place.

At the north end of Jordan Craters, the destination for this ride. The biggest one rises to the left, and lava fields extend for miles from here to the south.

Heading down the steep rough road to the Owyee River. Looks a lot like Leslie Gulch and Succor Creek a bit north of here.

Down at the Owyhee River at the boat and raft take-out spot.

The beginning of Fairfax-Bolinas Rd. Twice in two weeks I reached this road but didn't get to ride it. Later in the ride I saw that it was closed on Hwy 1 side too. :mad

The Usual Suspects decided to have a little picnic on the Dos Rios bridge, during the 45 minutes we were there only one vehicle (a 1960’s 122 Volvo) traversed the bridge without stopping for an extended period. This is where the North fork of the Eel joins the middle fork and continues North.
