Have a great trip! I'm jealous! that is still on my bucket list!

Replaced the battery. I couldn't bring myself to pay $132 for a Yusas YTZ10S (sold on Amazon), so I chose a $30 Mighty Max instead.

Been looking for a gen 1 FZ1 for over 10 years it feels surreal to finally own one.

Thanks.

The gen 1 FZ1 doesn't have as much leg room as adv bikes so it isn't as comfortable on long rides. Fine for 2-3 hrs but after that my legs start to get sore. It carves corners very well, and this 20 year old bike does not feel old. The power is there but the engine has a heavy flywheel/crank feel so it's not snappy like a S1000XR. Got 37.9 mpg out of the first full tank; low fuel light came on around 160 miles.

Wow. Do you have a hi-res version of that?

It's taken with my iPhone X and the original photo size is about 13Mb. For posting here I resize them in Photos (on my Mac) to 1,400 pixels wide so the file size is reduced to about 2Mb. If you'd like to have the original, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it as an attachment.

I'm not that happy with that shot which was taken at 8:44pm. iPhone X doesn't handle those high dynamic range shots too well. In real life both the background and foreground were much brighter, but in this photo if the foreground was properly exposed, the background would've been washed out.

Sometimes real life is overrated. :laughing But yeah, what matters for exposure is the background. It works well for the moto and trees to be subdued.

PM sent, thanks!

Took the little Honda out to Carnegie the other day

Look at that pavement on Hamilton... :wow

I mean the Sunset.

Beautiful.

MTERK.. awesome is as awesome does. :ride

It took riding a standard bike like the FZ1 (relatively low seat-to-peg distance) for me to appreciate how much more comfortable and more in control it is to be on a supermoto/ADV bike, especially when riding onto rough surfaces like this.

Alamitos Rd

Interesting that they're building such a wide bridge for a two lane road. Planning for the next 100 years? Use it or lose it with the budget?
