Photos of your bike on location

This is so much art. :laughing
Who needs the basic black & white nude draped over the simple wood chair.
Even John's throttle grip and mirror called to say they're impressed!
(it truly is a very nice shot)

Been there, done that... but I focused on the truly important part! :x :laughing

But that is a great shot, B-page! :thumbup

Cool pic Butch. Did you retire the yellow/black leathers?

Ha!
Nope. I save the KR suit for poseur opportunities. This was a spontaneous ride on a Friday. Little did I know there would be a foto junky lurking. I have been meaning to get pics of the Kali Octane helmet in action for the Kali guys. Little did I know...

Had to get out this morning. Hit Mines road!

Always wanted to get on those dirt roads there and explore! Bad part is that everything is behind gates and privately owned!!

Hell's Canyon, all the way to the end

The road down into Hell's Canyon has many great curves.
oC3sGs1.jpg

Brownlee Dam. The only one of the three not currently full. Headed downstream, they are Brownlee, Oxbow, and Hell's Canyon. When full, a dam backs up to the base of the next one upstream. They generate a lot of hydroelectric power from these dams on the Snake River.

Hell's Canyon reservoir. I managed to miss whatever made these roads wet.

The one high point on the road along the river/reservoir.

Hell's Canyon Dam. They let the river go from here and a bunch of people were putting in rafts just a little further on.

For some reason, when the road is on the Idaho side of the river there are lots of great twisties like this. When it's on the Oregon side they have boring straight roads. I don't know why.

So I was riding up Mount Hamilton and there was a guy on the side of the road with a camera. So I turned around and rode past him again. And I turned around and rode past him again. And then I stopped and chatted with him he was cool.

That is a nice shot. :thumbup

Maybe he will be there Sunday when we fly by! :teeth

128 north to the coast, first thing I notice this morning rolling thru the hills of Colverdale, green grass. The rain we got two weeks ago has sprouted.

I was all about getting to the coast, didn't stop for pix until another OLRF (one lane road flagman). See that brown truck, way fast on this road, never gained on him, left me twice.

I went up the coast, for pix in Albion,

Back to the river mouth

Rolled in to Point Arena, Zenned up with gas & stuff,

hit the dock,

and back to the lighthouse.

Mountain View rd. back to Boonville
burger,
home.

I had a feeling about this loop up 128 for days, I have been trusting my front end way too much for conditions on goat stuff, bad pavement you can't see for the strobe lighting thru the trees in dark shade. ON alert.
It wasn't 128, but Mountain View that got goaty, tight downhill inside right, pavement with rips and sand, just after a logging road joined it.
I got the slip, didn't see any of it, three inches wider turn, may have biffed.

I listen to these internal warnings, they work for me.
Zenned Up

10/01 update, rolling to the south end of 128, to Winters, railing my rig.

Railing my Rig, Hwy 128 SB Cloverdale to Winters.

Calistoga Fairgrounds, RV park & Golf course closed down.
My last visit Nov 2019, the grounds needed extensive tree work then from wind damage, now overgrown. Golf course parking lot was open with cars, but overgrown, dog walkers?

Got out yesterday and did this route (more or less):

As advertised, it was about 10 hours accounting for gas stops and potty breaks, I probably should have started a bit earlier than noon... on the upside, Bohemian highway was mostly free of cars at that time of day and it's a great stretch when it's not clogged with traffic.

Probably could have shaved an hour off Google's time estimate if I'd beaten the sunset (aka started earlier) and I didn't dress for the temps yesterday, but all in all, a good day.
