My farewell to Berryessa ride,
My last lap this year, heading south to Morro Bay, Tues.
Some of the 121 to Napa,
A view into Napa Valley from the notch from Suisun Valley.
Far end of the lake
Capell Cove, launched my Hobie here many times, , ,
I hit Cantalow again heading home, rolling from the west slope to east thru that notch, and was set upon by another heard O' turkeys, from the right.
They settled in the road and started running, east.
I followed, slowly not to pressure them, but escort.
One can hear the slap of turkey feet on the pavement,
Heads twisting to watch me, a few try to fly, some fly over the edge, still looking for a gap to access off the road.
Hearding turkeys, I need a camera, too surreal to believe, more than 14,
I figure 50' to 75' of trotting, before they fly off to the left, and gone.
I got to witness another flock settle in for the night in a old snag on that hillside 10 years earlier. The sight and sounds of wings flappin' and wood snappin'
