The California Coastal Commission overstepped its authority when it voted to phase out off-road vehicle usage at the Oceano Dunes by 2025, according to a July 19 court ruling. The Coastal Commission also violated the law when it shut down the Pier Avenue entrance to the Oceano Dunes State Recreational Area.

Hyper and I were there for the first time earlier this year.
It was quite a sight. From what I could tell a river divided the OHV portion of the dunes from the regular portion of the beach.
You could still drive on the regular beach but it was heavily patrolled and they were quick to light up any scoundrels that dared do a donut on their watch:laughing
