Since I’m not getting a new car....I splurged and bought drum sander. First pricey new tool I’ve bought. My main tools; table saw, jointer, planer, all were used buys.
19/38 supermax. D’bags at supermax wanted $90 for 4 casters. I said f that and put $40 into the caster and wood base. Higher and little storage too.

I did pickup this Bailey #5 for $5 at a garage sale and refurbished it.

I did pickup this Bailey #5 for $5 at a garage sale and refurbished it.
Already burned up a $10 roll of 60 grit and lost about 1/8" of thickness on a endgrain board I made....so there's a learning curve to this thing

Put this on lay away yesterday so that I can dros it with one of my other guns when they arrive sometime....hopefully soon. It's gonna be my cmmg .22lr conversion build that's gonna be fully girlie blinged out with tiffany blue, pink and bedazzled. Will make a really fun killer assault rifle with all the scary assault features that the girls will have fun with and the infamous standard magazine release and high capacity magazine.

Yeah I know. 6.2s in the 1500s are damn near special order. And a Z71 5.3 is definitely a high volume mover.
Not to fear. I know you’ll trade that thing for the 2019 Sierra Denali when they come out. If you haven’t seen it yet, look it up. The tailgate is straight up wizardry.
I saw it, crazy overkill for what I need a truck for, but I like where it's headed. 6.2 is standard in the denali, and I would have gotten that if they offered the same % off msrp. It's the same reason why I didn't buy a raptor, dealers are crazy with their markups and I'd have to travel out of state for msrp. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do that.

Speaking of Tahoe, just saw an article about the fight between the full time locals and folks renting out their Vacation Homes. In this particular instance, the police cited a family for have one too many cars in the parking spaces (3) for the house. $1000 fine first time (they don't bother with warnings since people don't necessarily come back). The property owner was also cited $1000.
This was South Lake Tahoe I believe.
