S1KRR...The new squid bike?

I don't think BMW is easy to get financed the last 2 BMW I bought where turned down by their financing and my credit score is above 825 so when they said no I just had a credit union do the deal.

What? If you can't get financing with an 825, no one can get a loan.

There's more to financing than just credit score, although credit score is a significant component of it.

WAT. That makes no sense.

WAT. That makes no sense.

Your credit score is mainly your ability to pay bills, debt ratio, and length of credit history. Someone can have a very good credit score, they pay rent on time, have some savings, no debt, long history, but since they are only making $8/hr, they won't qualify. It would push their debt ratio over a threshold that becomes too risky.

That makes sense....to a point.

i know that a person who has a high credit score and still can't get a loan from a m/c financing sounds odd but it's happening more frequent lately....

the company looks at the debt to income ratio these days and it's an important factor but again, the finance companies look at everything black and white and don't reckon that some people's income are for their toys while they have other means to make a living....i know quite a few people who balk when they are asked to prove their other additional income...

back in the good ol days of the 90s and early 2000s, people were able to finance without even having a job....

When I sold Japanese bikes in 2004-05, you weren't going to get the OEM financing if you had a bankruptcy in the last ten years no matter how well you had rebuilt your credit. A BK was an automatic denial no matter the credit score.

My score is below 825, and I financed my K1300GT with 0 down in December of 09... So, yeah. I'm pretty sure something else about you was holding you back.

His point was more that the additional power of the beemer isn't an advantage without the TC so, in effect, the additional cost isn't worth much.

I understand, but my point was that you could say the same about the GSXR1k over the 750, or this year's GSXR1k over the one 2 years ago, or....

It seems very arbitrary to suddenly say the BMW has crossed the threshold were this suddenly becomes an issue.

Bring on the crashing....
Apparently we aren't going to see any Ubber Hot Street fighterized S1000RR's Until there are S1000RR's totaled by insurance company's cause the fairing is trashed.

So let the plastic trashing begin.

How's this?

Ummm...you got it. Exactly. The advantage the beemer has over the GSXR comes at the cost of an additional $3000. So, what are you arguing with?

Just curious, how many people on here that bash the S1000RR have spent an extended period of time on the bike?

for me, i really liked the S1000rr and the other K bikes as well....sporty yet really comfortable....but in truth, compared to the other 1000cc, i'd really have to split hairs in performance cuz they so close nowadays that i have to judge which bike is the most comfortable to be the winner...and heated grips...and sockets for heated vests...and abs...and shaft drive...and bags...etc...

and i'll admit it that i'm vain....i try to look at my reflection on the bike and say " now that's a man on a real manly machine made in men's sizes..." which I can't say the same while riding a 600 sportbike...:wtf

but i'm more boxer motor traditionalist when it comes to bmw....:cool

Fuck I hope not, if squids stop wadding gixxers how am I supposed to have enough cheap parts for when I wad it racing? :laughing

THATS WHY PARTS ARE SO READILY AVAILABLE!! I was always wondering why there are 92738472834832 gixxer parts available....:rofl
