This one can be made better by cropping it out a bit. The one dude not wearing the uniform stands out pretty nicely, sorta like "Where's Waldo?".

You've gotten a lot better as time has gone on. The key is mainly just taking lots of pictures, which you're doing. Having nice glass doesn't hurt either, but that also just comes with time (since it's freaking expensive!).

Bought a PL and ND filter for my new lens and went out practicing to see if I could tell a difference. In the sun in the middle of a vineyard, not much difference. In the hills in the shade by a vineyard, lots of difference.

reminds me of a story when I was a little kid. Visiting a family friend with my parents my dad pretty much said the same thing and reached in only to get a hand full of poisoned barbs to the hand.
