Okay, after doing the LEO thing for awhile, I can't see any reason for firing a gun...I haven't seen the longer version of the video, but I would never have considered firing at a person at that point. Yes, his hand was suspiciously close to his belt, but if cops were allowed to shoot anyone who had their hands in the wrong place for a second, the population would be a lot thinner!
I didn't hear any commands of "let me see your hands," "hands above your head," - nothing. Guy moves a little "wrong" from the cop's perspective and the cop shoots him then and there. It wasn't even much of a "chase"...hell, I can remember chases around town where I worked that lasted over 5 minutes. Don't recall anyone getting shot. I think this department needs to rethink their protocol in these kinds of situations. Without any other commands from the officer, and considering the fact that he shot long before he could have seen if the biker actually had something (like a gun) in his hands, I don't see how he could get off on this one.

police state is fucked up though. man i wish i could relate how. somethings are just very fucked up and you never know what people will do with their power, or even why some of those same fucks have the power to begin with? yeah the world is a mystery. sometimes there is justice. most of times not.....people suck!

Officer White is an idiot. "He looked at me and made a movement with his hand." Hey, how about the fact that you shot him three seconds after exiting your car, which means you started drawing the instant you got out the door. Hey was keyed up and was going to shoot under almost any scenario.

As I said before...he was obviously keyed up as he had already radioed for backup before his camera even started rolling. He probably watched too many Vampire movies growing up and I think the dark scares him.
