Tats from the tattoo braggin thread - split by Bap

Anyone familiar with the 'trash polka' style and know of any bay area artists doing it?

That style is definitely becoming popular. Dont know anyone who specializes in it though... Here is my tattoo from Wednesday. Did the outline and some shading. Going back in early Nov to do some more. This is my Harry Potter inspired tattoo :teeth

Was curious so check out what that's about, some cool looking work, got me tempted.

There are some really cool pieces being done in that style. I like it very much.

Kim, awesome! Looks like it will turn out great!!

Loving the ink that ya'll are sharing here. Ink, guns, and now bikes are my passion. :)

@Kim. Just because it was the last WIP I see in this thread... loving the line detail and shading. Who's your artist if you don't mind me asking?

Here's my chest piece; this was taken right after the final session was completed. (Ant @Ascension Tattoo in Orlando, Florida).

I keep hearing that Santa Cruz is the way to go: bike ride down and get tattoos while you're down there. Nonetheless, that's a nice piece. Can't wait to see it when it's complete.

In the meantime, I'm going to search for something local. I hear Humble Beginnings in San Jose is nice, but is going to be really really pricey. Maybe I'll end up in Santa Cruz. Who knows. I want to get half sleeves next. :teeth

We live in South San Jose so a trip to Santa cruz is a 20-25mins drive over the hill. Which is nothing. I searched and yelped and facebooked a TON of shops. Humble beginnings was one that I was interested in. I ultimately picked O'Reilleys while out one night and the bartender had bas ass tattoos and I asked where and who his artist was. Got his info immediately set up a consultation and 6mos later I'm finally able to get work done.

His waiting list is anywhere from 6-8mos. But so far it was worth the wait. Getting tattooed by him was actually a lot of fun.

Session 2 completed. I have one more to go on the 22nd and Im done. Kind of a bummer this was probably the most enjoyable tattoo experience I ever had :laughing Its literally an hour old so the ointment is making it shiny and the color is really black. It will soften as it heals.

Anyone have any Tebori-style tattoos?
i have a dragon on my bicep done in the traditional "dip-tap-jab" way when i was in osaka. it is now incorporated into my sleeve. if you're getting it too, all i can say is, i hope you're tough.

I designed a Filipino tribal quarter-sleeve for myself that I want done in one sitting. I know it's going to suck to do it in one sitting, but I'm being stubborn and want it done in one sitting.

Problem is I can't find someone willing to do it in one sitting. At least two is the consensus.
