AFM turned 50 in 2004 and still continues to bring some really good racers to the National Scene and memories that remain very strong in my heart.

I'm actually old enough to remember Cotati Raceway. I used to ride my bicycle over there to watch the races when I was a kid:cool.
 
Great memories Budman, it really took me back. KXMike you would have had to of been REALLY young to remember Cotati. :shocker Where's the Gordy Seims pics? Paul Ritter (aka Mr Sears Point)?
 
One of my heros...

...... Frank Mazur was always the happiest man in the pits. He was my on-track instructor for NRS. Just a world-class human being who made my life more full without even trying.
 
God.. it's been 4 years since that party?? I really wish Kevin Smith would release that film...

Hey Jimmie....I'm older than I look (It's the good gene's:teeth).
I was actually about 10 yrs old at the time (around 1967). I'm pretty sure that parts of the racetrack still exist out in the fields behind the shopping center in Rohnert Park.:cool
 
Did you know Frank Mazur was listed in the 1983 Daytona 200 program as a Moto Guzzi factory rider? My neighbor has a copy of it!
