Interesting but he knows when he will get out unlike prisoners stuck in the shoe... his problems ans suffering are not really convincing. My only comparative experience has been on deployment and not knowing when I would get back and see my family, if at all. I stopped ticking off the days and they all blurred together. I still can't remember most of it.
 
I think he was just trying to show how quickly isolation can affect people.
Not trying to show what he went through was really all that bad.
