The NHL Thread, 2012/2013 season

^yeah the defense got sloppy there, and Dallas carried the play for most of the game especially in the 3rd period. The team didn't look crisp and confident like they've been for a few weeks.

Torres was a major factor in two goals but did look out of place all in all. His forechecking was a very, very welcome sight. Hopefully he'll be even more effective when he gets used to the system more. Him with Pavs and Galiardi on the 3rd line was pretty good.

We should have won yesterday's game, but we played like shit in the third. Can we trade Demers yet? Offensively challenged, defensively retarded.
 
fantasy hockey aside: damn I just eeked that one out! I just dropped my 3rd goalie, knowing Rask and Hiller had 7 starts available betweeen them. well they only got 2 starts, dropping me below the minimum start requirement. but I still pulled out the W. I may have to fix that...

Damn right. I was hoping Demers would have been packaged away for a decent return; even half-decent. One good season then the kid hit the shits.

anyways...playoff races:

I think Winnipeg has a legit chance to sneak in as the 8 seed in the east. they are only 2 points down on the islanders with only one team between them (NJ...who's tanking badly with 7 losses in a row). they have the most regulation/ot wins of the group. they've also played 3 less games at home than NYI.
 
I apologize for my disappearance in the fantasy league. Went on vaca with no laptop and forgot to set my lineup..... and of course i missed the playoffs by 4 pts >.<

Well, Tina is about to rock me in the semi's and I set my lineup and tried some tricky stuff even. Looks like my guys simply didn't play as much this week, then Lehtonen decided to get hurt and LEAVE and they won 4-1, which he took the goal against. Sigh. :(
 
Fucking hell. With the exception of the weekend, I haven't been able to watch a Sharks game on tv since the season began! Twitter is my savior for NHL related info, but even that is difficult to monitor when I'm occupied 16hrs a day.

However, I've noticed that Murray is making quite the impression in the East while playing for the Pens. Glad to see he's finally gaining the credit he's deserved as a strong stay-at-home, albeit slow, defenseman.
