The hit on Davis was text book. Lead with your shoulder and hit to seperate the ball. The hit on manningham wasn't dirty at all in my opinion.
Tackling the legs is one thing. Tackling the legs while another defender is holding up the guy and he can't defend himself is different.

It's funny, two telecasts yesterday did Rookie QB comparisons.
Each one listed the top 3 Rookie QBs:
Russell Wilson
RG3
Andrew Luck
Neither channel/telecast mentioned Tannehill.

Can the Giants suck any more in this game?! I just needed them to play one more great game today. They're gonna end up giving up like 70 points thesse past two weeks on a row.
I'm with you man, ain't it funny how the media cares about ratings only?
Tannehill has more passing yards than Wilson.
Tannehill has a better passer rating than Luck.
Tannehill has more pass completions than RGIII.
Those three are on playoff teams so they deservedly get more media play. Meanwhile the forgotten rook is quietly playing rather well lately.
Tannehill just had his best game as a pro last week vs Jacksonville. Let's see how some other QB's have rated against Jacksonville this year:
2012 QB ratings vs Jacksonville:
Ryan Tannehill: 123
Tom Brady: 73
Aaron Rodgers: 95
Andy Dalton: 96
Andrew Luck: 75 & 80

Touchdown passes, completion percentage, yards per pass and interceptions are the true measuring stick for a QB.

And leading the team to a victory is kinda important too.
Which Tannehill did two extra times this year then the MF'in FG kicker choked both times. We should be 9-6 right now, getting ready for the wildcard game.![]()
Manningham out indefinitely. ACL and PCL both torn.
fuck.
Manningham has been one of the more consistent targets this year, though.
Sucks that his season gets taken away on a dirty ass hit like that.
sucks that he got hurt, but you're the only one who seems to think the tackle was dirty. No penalty, no fine, no complaints from the coach or players or commentators.
What I didn't like: ...
Later in the game, the 49res lost Manningham after Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill hit Manningham low. Years ago, that type of hit might have sparked a brawl. But with current rules discouraging players from hitting high, that type of play could become more common.
Doesn't need to be a fine or penalty to be a crappy hit. And others agree. The first page I looked said the following, from Mike Sando @ ESPN.
And I don't even like the guy. Between he and Tyree's "miracle" catches, they've rooned two Superbowls for me.
