The Official 2012 NFL Thread

and now NO is dicking around with Brees, placing the franchise tag on his after he said he didn't want to go that way. how do you do that to a player like Brees? how do you not sign him up and give him what he wants? that team is nothing without him. if Brees doesn't want to play for them, they will be back at the bottom as fast as you could say "Indianapolis Colts".

and Randy Moss working out in NO too? jesus, are they trying to drive Brees away? morons.

in other news, looks like Courtland Finnigan's going to remain unsigned by TENN and test the free agent waters.

He'd be an upgrade to the 'talent' Oakland has in the secondary. does the new regime want a volatile guy (on the field)? Don't know.

i was just reading an article where the writer referred to "this age of tight end dominance" weren't we just talking about the demise of the position a couple of years ago? whatever happened to all those H-backs and 5 wide receiver formations? :laughing

Shit, I can remember our First one of the Superbowl Era back in 86, I can remember dashing The Bills and Jim Kelly's never ending Superbowl Dreams (and the Niners Hopes of unprecedented Dominance - 3 Superbowls in a row) in 1990 and I can remember stopping the unstoppable Patriots Juggernaut from an unprecedented historic 19-0 Perfect Season. I can remember when they came back for revenge against a 4th seed that limped into the playoffs and was favored to lose AGAIN.

I have to say, we seem to stumble a lot when we're supposed to play well, but when the shit is piled on us, that's when our blood boils and I have to say there is a certain pride that comes with being what I consider to be the greatest team of underdog winners and dynasty spoilers in the Superbowl Era.

While the Giants are #3 all time in NFL Championships behind the Bears and Packers, I can't say I've seen them all, but I'm proud to have been Big Blue for Every Victory of the Superbowl Era.

The author spends too much time watching the Patriots play, clearly.

I don't think even David Carr remembers he played for the Texans....

Carr was way overrated out of Fresno, Luck was at least in a better program with a better coach.

kept waiting for Payton to say, "I'm taking my talents to South Beach...." :rofl

Coliseum City?

already dead before it started.

also I wish someone would pay me 1.9 million dollars to talk to the teams and see if its viable.

Yesterday on the Radio they were talking about the A's and/or Raiders moving to Pleasanton.

I think I would like that very much! :thumbup

Meh. The Oakland Raiders are HQ'd in Alameda, the Detroit Lions used to play in Pontiac, the Dallas Cowboys play in Arlington, the SF Niners will play in Santa Clara etc
