The Official 2016/2017 NFL Thread

He's the best in this draft.

If he goes to Dallas at 4 like rumored, he'll be amazing behind that line.

He's probably not better than Todd Gurley.

Everyone says Zeke is the best back to come out in a minute, but I feel like the Raiders should work more on D and the O-Line than trade up for a RB. Latavius Murray is legit enough to be the main back, they just need another good guy to put in the rotation with him that should be easy to pick up in the 2nd or 3rd round.

RBs are just too replaceable now, and they don't have long enough careers.

thx

so it sounds like a lot of ifs...IMO this isn't the year to go after a bunch of ifs. it's the time to build depth and just keep bolstering the overall talent. the 1st string Raiders look pretty good, but they are on the thin side.

It would kind of be silly for the Niners to trade down, anyway.

With Goff/Wentz going 1-2, they're guaranteed one of the elite 5 prospects in Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack, Buckner, or Stanley.

Personally I'm hoping that they either have Buckner fall to 7, or move up to 3 for Ramsey.

good point. but i disagree on who they should take.

they don't need a safety. Tartt, Reid, and Bethea are solid group.

They need ILB and some sort of pass rush.

and they can't take Stanley because that'd be confusing next to Staley.

Ramsey is an elite CB, but also Bethea is getting older.

I am vaguely aware of Goff because he was on TV once while I was at a sports bar. The rest of them are just names on a page.

I'm only aware of Joey Bosa because his pops played pretty well for the Dolphins. :p

Jack is a good buy for the Niners, because they aren't in a position to compete in 2016 anyway. Someone willing to give him a year to get up to speed after his surgery is going to be stoked about the player they got in the long term.

Big gamble, depends on how bad it really is. Drafting him might only get you a player for 3-4 years.

:toothless

Buckner would be ideal.

Bosa would have to change schemes, he's a 4-3 DE and would have to become a 3-4 OLB. Still he's super young so he could probably do it.

I hate that more than GMs. :p

"Hey, college player. We know you've devoted your entire life to playing a certain position. But we want to draft you, and force to play a new position you have no experience with. How does that sound?" :mad

So fucked up! Minutes before the NFL draft, somehow an enemy of yours gains access to your Twitter account and posts a video of you hitting a gas mask bong (the vid is apparently from years ago when he was in high school).

Cold-blooded. Wonder how much this will affect the draft status of Laremy Tunsil?
