There could potentially be something to that, though. If Kaep plays zero snaps this season, they can let him go without owing him anything else - it's the way RG3s contract is structured too.
 
Yep. Have to keep him on the active roster (practice squad maybe?) until the season's over then they can cut him. Paid the year but he doesn't get to offer his services to any other team. Can't put him on injured reserve though? Because then the cutting prior to April doesn't work. Similar to this year.
 
would the 9ers really be worried about Kaep playing elsewhere? Didn't they try to get rid of him already in the offseason?
 
No, his agent asked permission to look for a trade.

It's not about being worried. It's about paying for something and getting even less than nothing in return. Can you imagine if he ended up on a team that played and beat the 9ers? They paid him to beat them? Yeah, that wouldn't fly at all.

Former Raiders and USC quarterback Todd Marinovich was arrested and cited for multiple offenses after being found naked and in possession of drugs on Friday night.

Marinovich was arrested in Irvine, Calif. after cops received reports about a naked man on a walking trail. Police found Marinovich naked in a stranger’s backyard. TMZ Sports says Marinovich was found with a brown bag nearby that had meth and marijuana, as well as the ex-QB’s ID.

Dolphins best DB is safety Reshad Jones (in fact he's possibly the best safety in the entire NFL), had to be helped off the field today after a left leg issue. Which caused this tweet from a fan.

yeah, injuries really make a huge difference in the league. Last year for the Raiders, when our star center Howard went down for 3+ games, the team had a really tough time scoring. It really does take quite a bit of luck to survive healthy enough for a playoff run.

I honestly cringe every time I visit nfl.com because there is always a headline where a player tears ACL, out for the year. Football is such a brutal sport.
