The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

Neither had I. Thanks for the link!

From the Article he posted:

Sees to me a lot of people have a right to not want a statue of him to be memorialized. If you are taking down the flags in the south you might want to reconsider the monuments in the north.

The I-Talians in Philly REALLY liked him. His funeral was huge. :dunno

I got it wrong. I thought he was police commish when that happend. He was still a piece of shit, just not in charge when they bombed the block.

The MOVE weidos were a problem, just not the kind of problem you fire bomb a city bock about.

Anywhoo, back to football....

Dunno, that seems like some shit that Eagles fans would do...

:teeth

After watching ODB "celebrate" I'm not sure anyone around the Giants can take the moral high ground.... :laughing

Seriously, that's why they NFL doesn't like the players celebrating, and if Giants ownership doesn't suspend him, the NFL should.

You just don't understand what they are, what they do.

The philly PD was/probably still is, brutal to minorities. The Philly Italians (my dads dad came over from Italy, im one of them) has a hard on for the tough guy persona. Rizzo was quoted as sayng:

I'm gonna make Atilla the Hun look like a fag!

Ya get the drift. The "sheriff joe" type gets a following, no matter how awful they really are.

Btw, real Philly fans only want to fire bomb dallas stadium.

Despite team he might happen to be playing for this year, I feel bad for Darren Sproles. He is one of my all-time favorite NFL players. Tore ACL and broke arm in the SAME play!! Damn.

All things considered, Broski has had a pretty good career though. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he was done for now, but, the guy spent his whole career playing for garbage teams and never let up, always balled hard, never showed his ass to the press that I can recall. Good run with a lot to admire from that guy.

I have not heard Romo call a a game but I thought Aikman was ok.

"OK" is the highest honor an Eagles fan can bestow on a Cowboy. Ever.

I *think* he did the Green Bay game. It wasn't terrible. Still a little "aww shucks" kind of thing but I'm sure he will improve.

He did probably give away too many Dallas calls/plays but it's on the coaches to change after the team leader goes away.

That's how I feel. :thumbup I have a mental list in my mind and he's on it. Along with Larry Fitzgerald, who I was watching last night. Guys that play and play. And Frank Gore is there too.

How bout them Cardinals. They are always entertaining to watch but just manage to come up wanting. Palmer was getting creamed early on but still managed to recover and rally, make passes etc. But for naught. .

He did do the GB game...wasn't bad. Way better than listening to Rex Ryan do the Monday night game.

Yeah, Frank Gore has long been possessed of a humble toughness where I really wish he had more success in his career. He has really only played for shit teams like ever. He is going to wither and die in post Peyton Indianapolis though.

You know, my take on it is that he probably is so humble that its okay. Unlike Earl Campbell, at least they softened the turf to pound out his days...I always think about the House of Pain days as just a miserable masochistic career path that all of those guys endured. Gore will retire with enough money to enrich his family for generations and hopefully enough medical tech to keep him comfortable. But I agree, watching his brilliant power squandered in the middling years of Niner ineptitude was just painful. The entire offense seemed to consist of hand it off to Gore and run up the middle. Punctuated by unsuccessful passing game.
