The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

He's gonna get suspended for sure. That was fucking dirty.

Welcome to Chiraq!

More like, "Welcome to playing a John Fox coached football team!"

One of the dirtiest coaches in the league. Can't wait for his ass to be ejected as far away from the game as possible. He's pretty damned high on my list of "Needs to be punched in the face."

Do you think it will go down that way? I have a hard time seeing it happen like that.

Not sure what you mean? I doubt he'll ever pay for the type of dirty football he's told his players to partake from the NFCCG where he told them to fuck up McNabb to the way he told the D in Denver to play as foul as possible. I wouldn't mind seeing him punched in the face for it. And I wouldn't mind being the person to do it.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate hard cases like TSiz and JHarrison. Someone getting injured between whistles from angry, hard men is just part of the game. Going out and doing things beyond normal play with the intent to harm is something altogether different. You played. I suspect you know where I'm coming from?

several nice pass reads / deflections by Niners D on just the first two drives

maybe the O can get like a first down, or something:dunno

Dude. Giants cleaning house after this season. McAdoo and GM Reese need to go. This season is an outrage. Going to have to scrap this O-Line too.

I mean getting ejected into oblivion. I mean, you're right, I hate dirtballs too (OK, maybe the O-Line is allowed a LITTLE), but Sean Payton literally had a Head Hunter deal go down under his watch and is still coaching the Saints.

On the bright side, Dallas lost too.

It is always good when Dallas loses. That is good.

good job by the Broncos for bottling up the Raiders offense for almost all of the game. I felt that the playcalling was lacking. But sometimes there's not much a team can do when facing a defense like that. It looks like that D shored up the lingering running game problems they had last year. heck of a defense there in denver.

As I thought, the Raiders were overhyped going into the season. There's still plenty of time, however it's not looking good. The offense looks too vanilla. The defense is actually mediocre, which is a large step in the right direction. There's hope. And in a way I'm glad they're getting punched in the mouf early so that they have the opportunity to make things better.

Man I'm kinda thinking that if the Niners even had an average QB that right now they'd be 2-2 or 3-1.

If Hoyer was just the Hoyer from a few seasons ago, even. He's not though. I can't see him lasting the season as starter if he keeps going like this.

Niners could have won both Seattle and yesterday with about three less dropped decent passes and three less stupid offensive penalties. Seriously.

Hard to believe I'm saying this, but I don't lay this at Hoyer's feet. He's better than Kaepernich that's for sure.

I still like Shanahan, Lynch, etc. I hope everyone remains calm. At least to this fan, it's okay but the penalites and dropped passes are just killing them.

Kaepernick has nothing to do with it, but for whatever it's worth Kap had significant better numbers last year than Hoyer has so far. Doesn't mean he'd do well in Shanahan's offense, but there's just no reason to bring it up at all lol.

The drops are bad. That's why Buffalo let Goodwin go, after all. But Hoyer has got to make better passes. There were multiple plays where he and the WR weren't on the same page and the pass went the opposite direction of the route after the receiver cut.

I mean this probably goes for 7 if Hoyer even throws it in the receiver's general direction

^ Hard to tell from the GIF, did he get hit during the throw?

The coach spiking the ball is fucking hilarious btw.

he had time to throw and got hit after he released it.

They are still feeling their legs under them as a team. Give them a few more games to get their feet on the ground. Remember, this is a brand new football team.

and they've lost 3 games by a combined 8 points.

If Hoyer was the guy that they had expected to sign instead of one of the worst starters in the NFL, we'd be talking about this team like when Harbaugh was in his 1st season instead of them being a dumpster fire coming out of a rebuild.

C'mon, give a guy time to find some timing with his receivers that no one has ever heard of, fer chrissakes.

The difference between Payton and people like Fox and Fisher is that he wasn't the guy pushing the shitty behavior. Payton paid for what happened with his team, fired the guy behind it, and his team has changed accordingly. Everywhere Fox goes his team plays like a bunch of dirty dicks. Same with Fisher.
