The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

They're not moving this week, are they? :cool

(... and Nevada tax laws might be enticing.)

His career won't be over in 1 year, either. :dunno Dude is better off signing with a team that appears to be rising in Stock like Tampa, Houston, Jacksonville, etc.

Loathe though I am to say it, Dallas could REALLY use him and would be willing to pay.

I’m not surprised about Bowman leaving. I am surprised that no other team was willing to trade to get him. To me that says he’s broken in a way that means he’s got one, maybe two good seasons left. The 9ers didn’t think that was worth the money. His level of play has fallen off. Especially in speed and a bit in change of direction. I’ve seen a few flat passes where he gets to the tackle but would have either blown up the pass or possibly picked it in prior years.

Sad to see him go. Sad to see his skill diminish.

Yea team slow and old but they let bowman go.....

The highest tackler this season...

He still has heart, this guy came through under pwillis and headcoach (linebacker coach promoted to head mike singletary)

He was the real dealio till injuries and his sidekick retired...

They had a trade agreed on with the Saints. Bowman asked to be released instead so he could pick his own team.

Lynch actually earned some goodwill with potential FA signings in the future by doing Bowman a solid.

Red zone just announced that bowman is visiting Oakland

He would deFinitely play as much as he wants with that lb corps

Aaron Rodgers, broken collarbone, might be done for the year.

Jets got hosed by the refs when they were coming back on the Pats.

Game of the day was Lions/Saints... all over the place with the scoring.

Yay, Crabs has a TD!

Did I see the Niners lose another LB today?

Did I see the Niners lose another LB today?

not an ILB. OLB Lynch went out with a calf injury. if an ILB went down at all they eventually finished the game

niners got fucking jobbed on that BS OPI call vs Garcon. there've been 2-4 calls like that against the Niners every week :afm199 :x

Niners have been ssoooo damned close. I think they have a real shot next week vs Dallas (no Zeke) and a full game from CJ. I hade hoped Hoyer could be just mediocre to mildly successful..... but he wasn't even that

CJ really can't be much less efficient than Hoyer has been so it was time to change. now they'll see what they got and how well CJ does this year will have direct impact on their draft.

BeatHard looked decent today. He’ll probably look good for the next two weeks as well. It’s the fourth week that shows what an NFL QB is made of.

Some of his passes were just bad and he’s lucky he didn’t get picked. It looked like he wasnt properly set to make the deep out throw. He’s got some work to do.

I thought before the season started, the Raiders would go 9-7 due to a tough schedule. They're losing the winnable games and Todd Downing has turned one of the best offenses into one of the worst in the league. Where is Amari Cooper? They might be lucky to go 8-8.

Beathard confirmed starter going forward.

great win Giants!

Thanks, I mean, too little too late, but it is nice to get a win. One thing I both love and hate about my guys is, they are the ultimate underdog. The minute the world believes they can’t do a thing, they summon the apocalypse. Just ask Brady and Belicheat. This team unfortunately can’t find motivation when they are expected to win. All that aside though, the difficulty of beating Denver at home is a thing, but I would remind folks that this was done without our #1 DE, #1 RB, and TOP 4 WR all out on injury.

Of course, I would also mention this is the first game of the season where the OC called the plays, NOT McAdoo…

At this point though, we will have to be content in our role as the nightmare spoiler/trap game team for the rest of the season and maybe drafting Eli's eventual replacement in the top 10 next year.
