The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

yeah David Carr was killed by Houston basically having traffic cones instead of linemen. I think he set the record for the most sacked QB or something as a rookie, etc.

Exactly and here’s the Raiders putting him back on the field after breaking his back. Allegedly. Lol

Apparently 1-2 weeks is standard for that injury

I'm think the OC needs a job evaluation at this point... Musgrave was great last year and worked well with Carr. This year, more weapons (Lynch, Cook), but questionable play calling. Isn't the axiom "run first" even in a throw happy league? ... and if Carr needs to snap out of it, Cooper needs to step up as well.

With KC coming off a loss, they're gonna want to prove a point, the Raiders can't afford these stupid losses, and yesterday was as stupid as they get.

Good news on Bowman, he has time to shop around for some moving boxes.

the playcalling hasn't been stellar, although I thought the idea of getting the ball out of Carr's hands quickly was a good plan. the receiving hasn't been good. the OL either.

the QB play? also not to the level of what I've seen from the guy.

I had many questions about Musgrave's calls, but at least there was better execution of the plays he called.

They'll run into 1-2 wins somehow.

Watch what happens this weekend with the Cowboys. Trap game etc etc.

Yeah, at least 1-2, but don't count on the Cowgirls to be the sucker. They are in desperation mode right now and taking nothing for granted on the verge of hysteria with Zeke's suspension still looming....

It is kind of beautiful as I watch my own ship burn.

:laughing

Maybe they just played a team with a shitty QB.... :dunno

Yeah, but we played Philly already, it didn't matter that time.

Wasn’t his brother destroyed by Houston’s mismanagement? The guy is getting beat up pretty bad and is relatively young. With his brother saying “get out before your completely broke” there probably isn’t much positive reenforcement. Guys are quitting before they get hurt permanently. Though I’d argue broken back pieces are pretty valid.

Yeah, but not as bad as David got it. He actually set records for being sacked.

this was in my physical therapists office...kinda cool, kinda sad:

I hate to break it to you, but Wentz looks like he is the real deal.

Have you thought about applying the Browns GM job? They didn't think much of Wentz either... :laughing

Alex Smith is having a good year.....

I'll bet he thanks his lucky stars every day for getting away from the clown circus that is the 49ers. :laughing

He was probably bitter at first, but at this point, thankful.

I want to say I heard one of the talking heads say as much a few weeks ago when KC was on the Sunday night game against Houston?

Must've taken about 5 to 10 minutes to get over the bitterness, the Chefs went 11-5 that year and made it as a Wild Card Team into the playoffs after a 2 win season the year before.
