The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

Must've taken about 5 to 10 minutes to get over the bitterness, the Chefs went 11-5 that year and made it as a Wild Card Team into the playoffs after a 2 win season the year before.

No, because SF would have WON that Superbowl with Smith at the helm.

have to agree, at least getting to the superbowl. that's something you can't replace.

A lot of great ball players over the years never got to see the big game. This mught be Smith's year though. The Chiefs look strong. I kind of expect Amdy Reid to find a way to choke it out in the playoffs though, he is the master of the Playoff Choke.

Congratulations the to Raiders. That was a fun game to watch.

I think that puts Denver into 1st in the AFC west. We'll see how long that lasts.

WOW! What a great Thursday Night Game! 5 plays to win it... the season is not lost, yet. :laughing

Bowman looked good, Crabs was clutch, Cooper came alive... :thumbup

What was up with Raider receivers running identical routes in the same areas?

Yeah, probably not... Smith was pretty sick of Harbs by that time, and 9er fans were still pretty enamored with Kap that year after Smith left. We'll never know from Smith (our projecting not withstanding), he showed too much class to say anything.

Marshawn's gettin 4 game suspesoin I think. not sure if it was worth it

but i think this unleashes the speed at rb that they under-utilize. just watch, they'll get faster on offense

I don't think I've ever seen a game end on two 0:00 plays before.

Maybe. I'm not so sure about that. The environment was so toxic in SF when Harbs and Baalke (especially) were there. I can't imagine anyone ever actually enjoying going to work/practice at that time. Those two guys together in the same system just seemed to suck all the fun out of the game.

I'll just be here to point out that SF Smith didn't make it to the SB and Kaep did.

KC Smith is a completely different player.

Yeah, that first point gets lost in the current Kap hatred.

I do think that complete year Smith had under Harbaugh did make him a better QB.

He gained a shitload of composure. Too bad his throwing strength was already diminished due to injury.

We’re not talking about that particular year, are we?

That was his last full season in SF, was it not?

His QB rating his last year in SF was 104. It has never been that high in KC. The trumped up Running Back who replaced him never has had a QB rating that high. Maybe that is because he only played 2 Full Seasons in the NFL before he washed out for being no good behind Center.
