I should probably start turning on the light when climbing the stairs at 2am to take a wizz.
Took a tumble a few years back when I slipped a few steps from the bottom.

Oh man. I'm close to 2 weeks into bedding in a brand new hip so I deeply sympathize with all of the upcoming suckage (though a planned surgery is loads better than a surprise one). Take care, don't overdo it, be as patient as possible with the healing process, and stay on top of those pain meds. Wishing you a smooth and thorough recovery, see you on the other side of all this.

Thankfully you will recover and more speedily cuz of all the things you’ve been doing for your health.
