Vegan climbs Mount Everest to prove they aren't weak..

I would highly doubt these were the first two vegans to attempt the climb.

As someone who eats vegetarian/pescatarian, I always find it a bit humorous how defensive those who eat meat tend to get about it.

I understand there are some very outspoken people who choose to eat this way, and I agree they are annoying, but the common person who eats meat cannot seem to let it alone. I don't preach to anyone about my choices but I still take flak for it from those that don't eat that way. It really is odd.

I don't give a shit if you eat meat, I choose not to for myself. Why you feel the need to constantly berate that choice is a mystery to me, but I suspect it is some sort of guilt. I am not sure why that is, because I don't think I am any better than anyone else but it truly seems to exist. :dunno

I have zero issues with vegetarianism, but many vegans claim it is unethical to eat cheese, drink milk, eat eggs, etc. Fuck that. :)

Humans sometimes have inadequate respect for nature; sometimes it kills them.
There have been lots of study of the "death zone" in recent years. Tis bad news for most humans. Really bad. But we have egos.

I could see that with some people. There are certainly people who don't want to know where their meat comes from because they think it's gross. If you can't stomach where your steak came from....maybe you shouldn't be eating it.

fck the media, this woman died, along with the 2 others. She gets most attention because media focused on her being a vegan. Title of this thread is classless :thumbdown

Sure, but do you see anything unethical about eating an unfertilized chicken egg that would never hatch into a chicken?

I mean, animals engage in rape, homosexual sex, eating live food, eating babies, fighting each other to the death...suddenly eating cheese is "immoral"? Don't make me laugh. We're animals too.

You'd think they would of run oxygen lines up the Mountain. Connect it up like a water fountain except to fill tanks with oxygen. Ultra High Density plastic tubing can easily handle the elements. Personally waiting for the Tram and restaurant on the summit.

Anyone Parachute on to the Summit ? :teeth

Probably not, actually. That would be like a marathon runner not telling people that he/she runs marathons. See video below, because we could use some non-misogynistic humor up in here:

You could take a helicopter up there. A guy did it with a as350 twice in one day to confirm the record.

For what it's worth, I really don't care what people's dietary preferences are. I have dated vegans, my best friend was a vegan. Out of the four people I work with, one is a vegetarian, two are gluten intolerant, and the other won't eat meat that they can't know where it came from. Hey that's fine. Eat what you like. Personally, I like meat. But I also buy my meat from the farmer, so like I said eat what you want.

I have considered eating farm raised meat, and even have procured a hunting license with the intention of killing and eating an animal. I have yet to do it though.

I have my own reasons for it, my griping was mainly because I really have encountered a lot of people who just refuse to leave my choice alone. They constantly make comments, and proclaim how much they like meat despite the fact that I usually say nothing about it. It is just funny how defensive some people get about it. Not entirely sure what causes this. It is the meat eating equivalent of the annoying vegan.

Hell I will even cook meat on my grill for you if you brought it over. I just don't eat it.

Dan, you (and most vegetarians) are perfectly fine. Vegans (much like crossfitters) seem to feel the need to tell everyone that they are vegans and make it a point to call meat eaters evil. I don't care what anyone else chooses to eat, but I am not a fan of having them preach to me about what I should eat. Pretty much my same stance on religion, or virtually anything else.

Now that we've all established the evils of vegans I suppose now would be a great time to point out my wife is one.

You'd never know it, because she doesn't tell anyone or care what anyone else eats, but thanks for judging her.
