On PC it goes up to 64 people... or was it 48? I can't remember.

Pretty sure its 18 max. You seem confused. Nuke every match? Bullshit.

There are 12 players total in the HC TDM I play on BO2. With only 6 bad guys to kill on the other team, it's taken me awhile to reach 47,000 kills. :laughing

BF4 (PC)
AC: Black Flag (PC)
Guild Wars 2 (PC)
SMITE (PC)
and a bunch of other Steam titles.

Any of you fgts that play BF4, on hardcore mode, on PC, add me to your dealio, same name as I have on here. If you don't play HC mode, don't add me, n00b.

Join the PC master race you prole :twofinger CoD 4 had distributed content, meaning privately owned servers. 64 players was the limit. MW2 is a different story... but IWNet is such a joke. Any jackass with a decent internet connection can exploit it.

64 people, HCTDM on Wetwork... w/ instant respawn. Minds will be blown. v1.5 patch still had the unlimited airstrike glitch and I got 300-odd kills in one match. That was years ago though.

Also: totally could get a nuke every match in FFA. M16 + Holosight (more accurate actually), marathon pro, ninja pro, stopping power pro, Harrier, Apache, nuke. Camp a spot and shoot a few guys. Run to somewhere near the spot. Watch them follow the red dot on the minimap. Shoot them. Move to new spot. Repeat. Get 7 kills, Harrier gets a couple, you get a couple. Find a hiding spot. Use the Apache. Since it's FFA nobody really tries to shoot it down. Get nuke. Let another guy get a couple more kills than you and then pop it just to be a troll.

I memorized all the spawn patterns, it's a seriously broken game IMO. MW2 is the easiest multiplayer game I have ever played. My winstreak is in the thousands (seriously). I regret un-installing MW2 because I'd screencap my stats screen. HD is running out of space tho.

EDIT: I'm uploading some old footage to my YT account that I captured with a trial version of PlayClaw in like 2010.

Ah no wonder your stats were overblown, didn't realize you were playing a garbage game. In a real game of skill where it's 6 vs 6, you'd be a paltry 0.75 KDR, lifetime. :laughing

A high KDR in a HC TDM match is a baby game. Just snipe with a silenced rifle. Did that when I was ranking through to prestige and needed to get a bunch of one shot kills- only time I played hardcore. My kdr was usually 5-1 or 6-1, one time did a 22-0. Never got a nuke though.

No nukes in Black Ops 2 so you campers can't ruin the fun, that's why BO2 was so popular. :p

And now I'm wondering of somebody in the video game industry was reading this thread, because right after I posted that the BO2 servers were incredibly slow...they got better. :wtf

That's the problem with using KDR as a metric for gaming skill- it promotes camping. And anyone with a high kdr employs camping tactics to some degree. When I finished my stint of playing hardcore to get all the one shot kills I needed, I went back to regular play. I started dying a whole lot more, my kdr dropped, and I was having a lot more fun again.

Some of the past few COD games, they have also had a score per minute measurement. When I went into a lobby and saw a high KD but low SPM, I knew that I'd find them head glitching or in a dark corner somewhere the whole match. You get the guys that had a 500+ SPM...that was bad news if they were on the other team. Means not only did they run around slaying like a madman, but they played the objective too.

The only thing that promotes camping is being afraid to rush forward and attack. :laughing

What promotes camping is that kd is the first think every smart mouth punk kid looks at as soon as you get in a lobby. People are so worried about getting punked that they camp up their kd. You can always tell who the loud mouth D-bag is going to be because they will have a bunch of x's in their name. I don't understand the younger generations infatuation with x's. Lol. Take kd out and replace it with rescue and avenger stats and you would have a whole different game style. And while they're at it...TAKE OUT THE FUCKING QUICK SCOPING!!!! it's fucking retarded!!!

I look at my K/D as well, but it is pretty ridiculous to be obsessed with it (these are video GAMES we are talking about, and what is so awesome about being able to play one well?).

On camping, I am a self-avowed camper (clan tag "cmpr"). It is pretty fun to be all mic'd up with friends, covering all entrances, having a well-defended position on the map, etc. If you prefer run/gun, that is cool and your chosen style of play; I just don't get why camping gets such a bad reputation (while sniping seems to be somehow "honorable").

I call that "soft camping". Its more like strategic placment. The hard-campers that suck sit in the corner of a room, ADS, where the only thing they can see is the door entrance 5 feet in front of them, usually with a shotgun, SMG with rapidfire, or assault with noob tube. They hope to get 4-5 kills in an entire match. I use the same tactics you use on the sniper prone maps of ghosts like stonehaven, stormfront, and prisonbreak. run and gun maps are strikezone, tremor, seige and soveriegn. I use SMG or shoties for these. The rest are marksman/assault rifle maps. Sometimes its fun to use the bulldog on Octane just to piss people off because its the last gun people expect to run into on a open map.

Camping in Counter-Strike is normal.

Camping in Call of Duty means you are too braindead or unskilled to hit anything considering the entire game philosophy is run n gun.
