Walking Dead-Season 2

I have to wait until February! :cry This sucks. I know Sophia was in the barn! Though that whole scene with the flowers made me hope she wasn't :laughing

You have to admit even if Shane is a psycho he gets things done. (I was scared for Dale!) Rick let his worry for his preggers wife cloud his judgment. Poor guy. Stupid to try to wrangle the zombies :laughing

I don't want to wait until February! :(

at least you're not waiting indefinitely like Game of Thrones..

RE: Zeds eating

Its known through zombie novels that zeds like vamps can go into a state of torpor and basically shut down until the next meal wanders by. You see it many times throughout the series with zeds on buses or in the church. Just a predator waiting for prey...

So, theoretically, they would eventually "starve" into "permanent inaction" ? (my new word for "dead" :twofinger )

They just wonder around aimlessly until they smell humans :laughing Remember when they had to smash the zombie and wear it? :( Anybody feeling sorry for Glenn when she called him Zombie Bait :( Poor guy. She sure is doing a number on his emotions. :laughing

Like Firefly :cry

This episode does explain one thing, which is how the farm wasn't overrun with zombies.

It appears the farm is surrounded by swamps, which bogs them down.

Obviously Herschel would be singing a different tune if his home was besieged by walkers. Actually, he would probably be dead.

As for why Herschel did not mention Sophia, he was keeping his zombie barn a big secret, so it makes sense he would allow Rick's people to keep looking even though he knew otherwise.

I just think Herschel is a freakin' liar.

Pretty good ending to last episode, but what the hell is up with Dale? Are they trying to make him look like a limp dick old man or what? What's up with him taking the bag of guns off to the woods to dump? Seriously? The world is going to shit and he wants to dump the guns? I thought for sure either him or Shane wasn't coming out of that showdown alive. That was weak they both did, was hoping Shane would finish him off. It looks like Dale has a hard on for Andrea so why not just let him grab some of that ass and get some action? Even Glen is gittin some.

Well it was already explained that Otis did the zombie-wrangling and probably Otis did not mention it at all to Herschel.

Zombies don't feed for sustinance. They have no active digestive system. They will eventually decay away.

Nope. Zeds will just jerk-ify, like beef jerky, and go from a runner to a walker. You as a survivor will be long dead before the dead decay away.

And their bellies won't pop from over eating(exaggerated fact#55)

Herschel never knew that Sophia was in the barn, it was explained that it was Otis that did the "walker" catching and Shane killed Otis before the whole, "we are looking for a little girl lost in the woods", thing came out. At that time, they were pre-occupied with trying to save Carl's life. Sophia was already a walker and caught by Otis even before Carl was shot.

For all of you that think Shane is the most "logical" and "makes sense", you guys are delusional with Shane's character. What you guys are hearing Shane say is, "I will do anything so that WE will survive", but what Shane is really saying is, "I will do anything so that I will survive". When Shane shot Otis so that he can bring the supplies back to the farm, did Shane really shoot Otis to save Carl's life? or was it to save his own? Remember, Shane's ankle at that time was messed up and he could not run, and all of this is from a man that leveled and scoped his rifle out at his best friend (Rick) in the woods.
Someone like Shane is probably one of the last type of people you would want in your group in the situation that all the survivors are in, cause not only do you have to worry about the dead trying to kill you, you have to worry about a guy that might up and shoot you in the leg when ever he feels his life is in danger.

I thought that was a pretty interesting confrontation.

If you think about it:

Dale took the guns without asking.
Dale snuck away.
Dale pointed a gun at Shane.

But Shane is supposed to be the bad guy?

Finally, Dale also complains about how Shane is going to kill someone. But how useless is Dale?

Dale fixes the cars :p And he took the guns because he knows shane is psycho! Shane is crazy. HE SHOT OTTIS and let zombies eat him alive! He didn't even make it a kill shot. He almost shot his "bestfriend". Dale wanted to protect Ricks plan from getting jacked up by Shane. Shane still jacked it up.

Dale needs to mind his own business. Getting in everyone's business and trying to be the wise old man who knows what is best for everyone else.

Totally agree, I probably would be plotting to kill Shane off if I were in that situation. He's psychotic and seems to be too at ease with all the chaos around him, I think he's even more dangerous than the walkers. If you've read World War Z then you know it's people like Shane who would go off and declare himself "Warlord of Duluth".

That being said, Dale, Daryle and Glenn are my favorite characters.

With all the time they spent looking for Sophia and the finding of the doll I thought for sure they'd find her. But yea I agree that Hershel most likely didn't know about Sophia in the barn. It's not like he'd seen a picture of her before. Then again, he may have known but wanted to protect the secret at all costs.

I don't know what everybody is up and about and against Shane for, he is well trained with guns and when the shit goes down he's the guy you want shooting zombies next to you. Ok so he shot Otis to save his own ass but who wouldn't have done the same thing? I would have shot Otis' fat ass too. It's not like they were both going to get away at the rate they were crawling. What's that other zombie movie came out a while ago where the the first rule of survival was cardio? Fatties get eaten first? You gots to be able to run homey! Shane didn't shoot a kill shot at Otis because he needed the walkers to want him fresh and still alive, if he were dead then some of them may have still came after him also?

Bleh, Shane was just thinking about it pointing at Rick but the audience knew all along he wasn't going to do it, and never will. He was just a little mad that Rick came along and took away some good pussy from him. When there's little other options to get laid with anyone half decent, Laurie was as good as it comes. She a tall drink of water , hell yea!

You got a link to this fact list ?

planegray, according to the Max Brooks mythology (World War Z, Zombie Survival Guide) they eat but don't digest and don't need the nutrients. Like it's an instinct without a cause.

Awesome scene with Dale and Shane: "You were meant for this world."

Dale is a piece of shit, though. Hiding the guns knowing there's a barn full of zombies with nothing but rusty chains and rotting wood keeping them in? Giant plot hole, and everybody would have armed themselves that morning when Glen informed them of the barn.

Great final scene with Shane going apeshit. I was wondering who was going to kill Sophia, Shane or Rick. So I guess they've overstayed their welcome at the farm, huh?
