Warriors 16-17 Season

KD was limping around and grabbing his leg. He is genuinely hurt.

CP3 should go back to Nawlins with Boogie and Davis. Or come off the bench for the Bucks.

No idea the salary situation, but Paul to NO does sound interesting. Demarcus and Unibrow didn't do well, but it was a short test period. Add a good point guard.....hm.

DAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...................

Put it on 'em... That's gotta be demoralizing for Portland to have hope knowing KD can't play and then get drubbed by 29 points. They looked in another place mentally while they were walking off the court.

Rested KD, won by 30, and emptied the bench in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.

Jeeze.

Brief apt I think 3rd quarter Draymond was running around like a crazy man. Needed to slow down. Klay had a rough time handling the balm tonight.

But the defense, defense doesnt have slumps and showed up tonight.

I think Javale is gonna be a matchup problem all playoffs.

The Warriors have won these last two games despite both Steph and Klay (especially the latter) being in a kind of shooting slump of sorts. But their smothering defense and outstanding bench play are for the ages. Love the crowd at Roaracle....

I don't know what makes Javale tick but that dude turned the game around last night. I guess he's kind of an ugly duckling but it makes me feel good to see him do so well.

If and when the Splash Bros. heat up, maybe the bench can relax a bit but it might as well have been the game 7 of the Finals last night the way they were scrambling.

Apparently on the TNT show with Shaq and Barkley, they refused to call Javale by his name and instead referred to him by his number. What a joke. Believe he was 7 for 7, tying some all time record in not missing a shot in a playoff game.

Chuck continues to spew the Warriors arent a defensive team despite them being #1 and #2 in the league in all categories.

Marcus Thompson (bay area sports columnists) was right in explaining why many players then and now hate Curry and the Warriors. They don't like how quickly they rose to the top. Many teams and players thought (clippers, chris paul, Blake griffin) thought they were the next in line behind Lebron.

Warriors are an example of good and lucky drafting, timely contract increases and good character players. If they continue to draft defensive guys, they'll be good for a long time as their main group of scorers will be able to shoot for 4-5 years+.

I turned over to NBA channel right after game (because I want to see what non-homers are saying) and that panel was very friendly towards Javale, praising him and certainly naming him and crediting him with turning the game around. One of these days Barkley will have run out of people who laugh at his jokes and thinks he relevant. Continuing to stay Steph is "just a shooter" is ridiculous. He might as well have been six inches taller last night, the way he was defending.

As for the Clippers after Cavs thing, it just seems like the main NBA world is used to a lower standard of play and somehow expected it to stay that way....I really think there is a parallel with the football Patriots and Dubs in terms of a superior system that pulls the best out of everyone involved. And I think that its been more profound this year than last in that way, as evidence by McGee and West in particular. Really eager to see the young guys continue to grow and prosper.

The thing about Kerr and his staff are that they have built a team that has a complex character. Nobody is going to "figure out" the Dubs and how to consistently beat them. I dont think much of the basketball punditry has watched them enough to realize it. But those of us who watch every single game know what we are seeing.

For a while, I thought that just pure youth and youthful speed was the way to beat them but along came West, among others, who showed that a savvy veteran can use their own speed to their disadvantage. Barnes is no joke either, I hope he gets better soon.

They have a starting center and two bench centers who offer three different primary skills sets. Rotations have become fascinating to watch for this reason. I have a lot of eggs in the Javale basket because he has been so dynamic, but ZaZa and West both do other things that confound the opposing teams. West passes, he stalls for time and gets things set up. I sometimes wonder if Zaza isn't kind of clumsy really but if Kerr feels he's the starter, it's with good reason and I respect it. I guess its for the screens with Zaza, because I was mystified that they had Varejao last year except he was really good at getting in the way for screens..

The Blazers were so busy guarding the perimeters that McGee was able to haunt the rim last night for those dunks and such. And that's WITHOUT Durant and both Klay and Steph not being hot on 3s!!! Every once in a while Draymond will pull his three out of the garage and it must be confounding to the other coaches..

Only the refs can stop the Dubs at this point and it could happen. Steph was getting pounded last night without much whistle. This keeps happening and I don't know how long his luck at not getting hurt will hold out. Dude spends more time on the floor than anybody because of his out-there layups but he's also getting knocked down to it.

Yeah, Kenny Smith disagreed, but what was Barkley thinking? Warriors not good defensively?

McGee is great, and hyper-athletic. Why wouldn't they say his name, something to do with the Shaq nonsense?

This Cavs game is nuts. At first I thought they were done (down by 25?), but now they're up by 4 with 3 minutes to play. George is playing insane (his threes never miss tonight), but the Cavs have kept it up.

Shit is crazy.

Interesting how Lebron was stuck on 4 fouls for quite a long time and his teammates not close to the play were getting foul called on him :dunno Once they got down by 20+ the foul calls in favor of the Cavs went up too. Granted, they kept letting Lebron shoot that elbow 3pt that he likes and were leaving Korver open. Once Lebron takes a 3pt shot and makes it, he's gonna keep shooting from that same spot.

Agreed, at least that what the data shows :teeth

Don't rook me...

Did it ever occur to you that... maybe he's actually just...

... *gasp* ...

..a good player? A that he played extra careful to avoid not fouling out?

I mean, he's been in the league for a *long* time. He's smart, and rarely lets emotion get the best of him. I know he's not in a GSW uniform, but it doesn't mean the basketball he plays is worth any less.
