I don't think type A personality has anything to do with high maintenance. Type A means ambitious, a go-getter, and active with a busy mind. High maintenance means: Jewelry, flowers, expensive restaurants, etc. How do those two things equal each other?

I may be type A, but I'm not high maintenence. I can be when I date really wealthy guys who like to shower all that stuff on me. Then it's fun. My problem is lately I keep falling for the poor guys because I make the mistake of actually loving them the way they are--faults and all. I do expect to be treated with kindness and respect, but I still keep falling for the ones that have issues that they refuse to own, or even look at. Yea, you do need to change that sh*t if you ever expect to have a successful relationship.

To think I left a multimillionaire to come out here to California with one of the poor guys because of this crazy thing called "love". Go figure.

I used to be able to operate like that. You know, one coming in the front door while another is going out the back. I used to be able to play those games, and do it well. It was always about "me" and what "I wanted" with little regard for the guy involved. In my old age, I've come to realize that it's not about me, and it's not about what I want. Today, it's about doing the right thing. Today that means; being kind, admitting when I'm wrong and doing something to right it, trying not to make that mistake again, and it's about seeing how I can be of service to someone else. That's what it is about for me today.

So, even though I don't want someone living in my house, I do want someone in my life in a loving, warm and kind way. I just don't want to lose myself in a guy anymore. I did that with the last one and it ended badly and there is nothing to show except war wounds that need to heal.

So, what games do I play today? Crossword puzzles and trivia games. That's about it. If I catch myself playing a game at someone else's expense, I rein myself in. I have no business being in their business, no matter how hurt I may feel by something. It's just wrong to try and right a wrong someone does you with another wrong. No more of that for me. I make amends and I move on.

I'm not a prude at all. I am private about things that I consider PRIVATE. My emotions don't fall into that category I guess because I wear my heart on my sleeve--what you see is what you get, but specifics about sex, do.
