There are no cut-off times for NRS. Yes you can fail for not going quickly enough, as you would be a hazzard to other racers, but no times are set in stone for this. Mr. Coyote was probably using the stopwatch to get an idea of someone's pace, not to measure against an actual cut-off time.
There's also no A-group minimum time with Z2, as it would be impractical. The average pace of a trackday group varies based on the which track it is, when in the year it is and proximity of the event to a race, as more racers tend to show up for events prior to races.
I've heard of people failing for being too slow. I don't know how they determine that. I would guess it's a lot easier to fail by crashing or being an unpredictable douch. I took NRS at Willow Springs, it actually was pretty easy. On the other hand, they have a full-on Novice class, so you don't have to run with the big dogs right away.
If your a current racer with another club have you called AFM and just applied for a license you might not have to take the NRS and you can save a little money.
It's hard to estimate Jorge's height from this picture but I doubt he is 6'-6"
Jorge is about 5'10...though, like oz, he's lost a ton of weight too. he was around 340 when i first met him...now he's closer to 230lbs.
I'm in for the NRS on Sunday the 29th, and Dan Sewell has graciously offered his coaching skills for me all day Saturday the 28th to see what all I need working on. He said he would be there for autographs, and pictures the whole weekend.![]()
Bike is fast enough, just need to ease up on the brakes, before a few corners to increase my times. I'm ready, already, and plan on buying the CD from www.4TheRiders.com Sunday Afternoon.![]()
