After making this thread a while ago I got one! 2020 Honda Super Cub. I got it from some dude in Aptos for $2800. It had 1399 miles on it so still pretty new but it's already got some rust on it on some of the chrome parts, I guess being near the ocean does that. I'm the third owner, the first owner was from Santa Cruz and bought at Fremont Honda Kawasaki, and they paid like $5k out the door for it! So I think I got a good deal for it, I even got a Quin bluetooth helmet with it! Also it has the Honda rear rack on it already, pretty nice unit, very stout because I think you can put a cushion on it and have a rear passenger seat.
So story is I recently lost my Victory Empulse TT electric bike. I'll probably make another thread about it but the battery went bad on it and Polaris couldn't fix it because there's no batteries to replace it with so they bought it back from me.

I was using the Empulse for Doordash which is how I've been making money since the pandemic started and track days and stuff. I miss it but in the future another electric bike will grace my garage. So I've been using the Light Bee for Doordash and I keep breaking it because I use it for like EVERYTHING doordash, drag racing, supermoto racing, dirt biking, it's constantly breaking and I get flats on it all the time riding in the bike lane. So supposedly in Asia they use these a lot for delivery work so that's my plan is to use this as a Doordash bike and split the work with the Light Bee.
I bought it with the intention of selling it in the future, but who knows might keep it if I like it. But this is a very interesting motorcycle. I know it's classified as a motorcycle but it feels like your riding a scooter. So this is my very first Honda vehicle I have owned. Not gonna lie I'm not the biggest honda fan I think they are overraated especially their automobiles, they seem like trouble but people keep buying them.
So this is a bike for me that has a lot of firsts. Even though the bike it was originally based off of was produced in the 60's the C125 is a very modern bike. It has fuel injection for one things, it's my second bike to have FI and the other is my 750 Turbo. It has a keyless ignition system, like the smart key on a Prius. All you have to do is get close it to it, push the ignition button in and turn it on. It has a freakin alarm! It also has a location function if you don't remember where it was parked! It's my first bike that has an centrifugal clutch, so it's like a semi-automatic/manual 4 speed. One thing I hate about delivering on a normal bike is riding stop light to stop light and having to work the clutch all the time. This bike don't need to worry about that, it's very easy to operate one handed. Sometimes I carry stuff while riding and it's totally doable with this bike. It also has LED lighting stock!
I have to say the build quality impressed me a lot, especially the paint quality is great. I'm not going to lie though I wanted the blue one the 2019 Cub but they only sold that for one year for Honda's 60th anniversary. But the Doordsah logo is red so I'm going to slap some Doordash sticker on it. Sooo it get's 100mpg really good MPG, but it only has a 1gallon tank under the seat, plus it has a button under the seat to electronically unlock the seat how trick is that! So my plan is refuel it at home with a fuel jug. Then when I get gas for my car I'll just fill up the jug. I'm going to try and not do too many mods to this bike. Basically I just need to get it ready for work! I need a phone mount and a usb charger at the bare minimum. But yeah no clutch, 100 MPG, keyless ignition this is the perfect Doordash bike! I also was able to hit 63mph on it so it is freeway capable for short freeway rides. I wouldn't go more than like 3 exits. It is a slug though, even my Light Bee feels faster than this but it maintains it's speed better than the Light Bee because of the flywheel effect I guess and it's like twice the weight. I find myself flogging it all the time. I think I might get a quick turn throttle for it. Learning how to downshift in it was challenging also since there's no clutch. You have to blip the throttle before going down a gear like a double clutch but with no clutch.
Also I bought this tenugui in at Honda's Tokyo headquarters. They had a little show room there and I thought this tenugui looked cool of the Super Cub. I was thinking of selling it but now I own a Super Cub!
Sooo after buying it I had a little buyers remorse. I found out the shifter was messed up. I guess someone had tightened it too much and the bolt head BROKE off. So the shifter was all loose and I wanted to adjust it more like a normal shifter. What a pain in the ass I drilled through the old bolt and put a normal bolt and nut through it. I almost just cut the whole thing off but then I found out this shifter is like $145 from Honda! So if I can find a used one on ebay in the future I will snatch it up. After I fixed the shifter it was nice and crisp shifting. I have to say the heel shifter is a little odd. I don't like it's design it's hard to shift normally and it's hard to use the heal shifter. The heal shifter kinda rubs my boot if I have it adjust high like it was before also.
