427 Engine Swap progress *pics*

I stopped by Advanced Dyno this morning before class to check things out and drop off some gaskets. The intake is beautiful in the sunlight. Unfortunately I can't use the LS2 stainless rails and injectors! They have some clearance problems and need an additional wiring harness, so its back to the plain black fuel rails. I guess the upside is I get to keep my 42# injectors instead of the 39# that came with the intake.

I got pics of the motor, intake, and the whole thing bolted up to the BMR K-member. It looks sick! Unfortunately I probably won't be bringing it home today, but we are still going to try to fire it up this afternoon. I've got my camera ready to take a good vid.
 
looks sick! anything wrong with the old ls1 motor? (ls1 owner with a jillion miles wants to know)
 
good price, just curious if yours has the cold engine piston slap like mine does
 
well gonna be a little while longer. The harmonic balancer took over 2 hours to install, and a few other problems with some custom parts fitting properly. We ran out of time, so its looking like it will be done monday and I'll be picking it up Tuesday.

sic!... wont you have detonation problems on pump gass with your cr? im getting ready to drop a 406 into my 78 vette, should be right around 600 ponies at the flywheel... i think im spending over 6 grand on the engine alone, im not sure i wanna know how much you've spent :shocker

Nope. I've got a good tuner, and i'll be able to run just fine on 91. Also be able to pick up more power at the track with 100 octane too :)

Pics of said Vette? :) 6k is great for a stout motor like that. As for how much I spent....even I wish I didn't know those numbers LOL.
 
not to rain on your parade or anything but you know there's a lot about that car that doesn't meet tech right? (i'm one to talk but still)
