That would be a nice bike John.

Great choice for many more great photo's and rides to take them. :teeth

for we fans of P@noche Hills BLM, my friend Kevin (who remembers the Kooks MC?) snapped this pic this morning from his front porch a few miles from the Panoche Inn:

That's an awesome shot.

crazy to see so much snow in P@noche Hills BLM! :thumbup

speaking of crazy snow, I'm getting ready to (try to) start heading to Death Valley on Friday the 17th for the n00bs Rally ... here's a fairly recent pic of South Pass, one of the few ways into/out of the Saline Valley (these folks look like they were trying to get out? idk.):

pic was from 03/02/23, and word is Inyo County had to get up there and rescue the vehicle and passengers. :party
hearing that people at the hot springs have been snowed in at Saline Valley for a while.

maybe Mr bananachunks will update us on the recent Italian-bike drama that the word on the street sez he may be dealing with ...

Well that is a bit of snow isn't it! Something tells me Sherman Pass won't be open for a while this year. I'll ride it eventually...

Drama this time is that an O2 sensor crapped itself so keeps killing the main fuse that supplies ECU, injectors, etc. They're going to warranty it, but O2s won't be available until sometime in April.

I decided it was time: I need a backup.

I wonder if I'll ever be able to get them both in the same picture :rofl

wow, that looks like a pretty competent motorcycle--the single track chain saw dead fall work party guys won't roll their eyes when they see you coming on that, I bet! :laughing

what is it? a 701? brand new? :dunno

They'll roll their eyes once they see how I ride it! :teeth

2021 701. 1364mi. No dirt, no drops, Perun tail rack and Oberon slave cylinder. MSRP.

I went to Munroe after checking in the 660 and got a quote for a 2023. I knew what I was going to be looking at, but seeing that number on paper deflated me quite a bit. Decided I'd moan about it on bookface in hopes that I'd get a few "Just do it!" from friends. I never got a chance - first post that loaded up was from a friend "Selling my 701" and damn if I didn't jump.

Not thrilled with two payments and two garage spots, but it sure is nice to be able to just shrug and say "Ok" when the shop tells you your bike will be there for a month or two. :ride

I told people in my house that you'd probably solve any bike availability issue, wolf-style, and I was right. :laughing:thumbup

congrats on a cool, low mile bike. :ride

What a coincidence that it comes in SFMC Colors! Congrats!

Hey Mr. Chunks, DM if you need some help with priller behavior issues needing some comeuppance from greaterpriller USA

Looks like something I'd be dumb enough to try riding with backup present :laughing

Gettin stuck in an easy spot, , ,

the white truck managed to block the road, too. you can just make out Mr Memnok’s truck in the distance. they helped the person get the white truck to the side after half an hour, and then gave her a ride back to her motel so she could come back with the rangers the next day and drive out when the snow had frozen up again. :party

Good luck! I imagine getting the KLR unstuck would be easier! Years ago my youngest brother got his 90's blazer stuck up in the mountains outside of Denver and left it. My dad and I went back with him the next weekend to find it frozen in situ, took us the better part of the day to hack and dig it out before we could pull it out and get it turned around to head down hill. Good times.
